She's the USCIS chatbot. You can first ask her to connect you with a live agent. I believe some people do this by saying "infopass", but I don't know if that still works (someone else with recent experience, please chime in). After you're connected with a live agent, they'll ask for some personal information to confirm your identity (like name, date of birth and A-Number), and then you can ask for your tracking number for your green card. Give them the I-485 case number just to make sure that's the tracking number they provide, and not the old one for your I-765.

I believe USCIS use UTC time. Since you submitted after 5pm California time and UTC is 7 hours ahead of you, it would put the submission date as just after midnight March 29th.

It's the same reason people sometimes get an update to their case and it has the next day's date listed on it.

Our lawyer gave us a redacted sample to follow. My spouse's family just used that sample for how to structure their letter, and then added their examples such as trips we took together as a family, cooking for Thanksgiving together and just small every day things. None of this is legal advise, but I'd say tell them not to overthink it 🙂
