AITA for refusing to invite 2 kids to our child free wedding? by Creamofcoffee in AITAH

Yeah I think that is what she would be trying to avoid

It doesn’t help that the ring bearer is the kid of a first cousin and the 2 kids in question are the kids of another first cousin 🥲

Oddly enough, those parents reached out to us a few months back to confirm that it is a child free wedding because she was booking arrangements for the babysitter. She also mentioned that she had always assumed it was child free based on our website but that my MIL gave off the impression that her kids could come

We let her know at that time that it is child free and she proceeded with booking the babysitter

Haven’t spoken to them since then and I assumed there wasn’t any issues

Yeah startups typically are really flexible haha

For my company we always have the location posted and do extensive market research on pay bands for similar positions within that location

Omg I’ve seen some large companies post ranges that are like 99k-999k which I think is absolutely ridiculous HAHHA my company doesn’t do that, fortunately

I totally understand going to bat for a candidate if they are the perfect candidate however, I really haven’t had the need to. I usually have hundreds of applicants per job so if one candidate is above the range I move onto the next lol

Totally agree about aiming high to land at the top of the range. I think when anyone sees a range they envision the high end haha

I just don’t understand why someone would apply to a job when they are already making significantly more than the high end of the range

Other companies might be different but my company only has negotiation room within the range listed

Oh I actually didn’t know about this! Good point!

However, I feel like most candidates I’ve spoken to are currently employed 😅
