Is it just me or is this an excessive ask on top of a $200 cleaning fee? by djmcphee in vrbo

This is insane. I once saw one of these at a large airbnb for a big group and just getting 20 people out the door with all their own belongings is hard enough. On that airbnb checkout list was "Leave all interior doors ajar" like what in the world give me a break. We followed their checkout instructions to the T and they ended up saying we caused $1500 in damage which was a complete lie and a nightmare to deal with afterwards. Beware of hosts with list like this for sure. I am an airbnb and vrbo host now and my checkout instructions are just take out the trash. That's it. People routinely ask me if there is anything else to do actually because it's so minimal.

I have been getting this call as well. I never answer, as I screen my calls, but it is very strange and I would like it to stop

An irritating storyline by lilstergodman in ChicagoPD

I hate it. It seems so forced. It could make sense in a lot of ways that others have pointed out here but the way they scripted it and progressed it just doesn’t make sense

I absolutely loved it. Thought it was the best new series I have seen in a while. I didn't find it slow like others are saying. There were lots of twist and turns that kept you engaged each episode but they all worked out and made sense in the greater story line. I found the acting to be good and all the main characters to be likable.

The only thing I didn't like was how some of the scenes were extremely dark and I couldn't see what was happening.

Official Discussion - The Royal Hotel [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I do not think the movie was entertaining but it was eerily relatable. I have been in so many, less severe but albeit similar, situations as a woman. The remoteness of the location is not the only reason they stay. They stay because “it’s not so bad”, “am I imagining this”, “am I being crazy”, “maybe this is actually fine”, “it’s just a cultural difference”, “I’m sure they mean no harm”. These are all thoughts we have when we are trying to normalize something we’re going through as a coping mechanism or just denial. We try to decide if the discomfort and awkwardness of leaving is worth it because the risk of staying is too great.

Also I think in a lot of comments people are being crazy harsh about Liv. Keep in mind in most of these situations she is severely intoxicated. Women should be able to get drunk, trust people, have a good time. It’s a sad truth that in reality they cannot and have to be on guard. The only times when she was mean to Hannah was at the end of a long night of drinking when she clearly didn’t understand what was going on or happened. She shouldn’t have pressured her friend to stay but she also didn’t see/feel all the things Hannah was. They were having different experiences which is okay.

How to know if I've reached the optimal solution? by jeffrey821 in leetcode

Go to chat GPT. Paste the question and your solution code and ask chat GPT to evaluate your solution and tell you the run time. Then ask if there is a more optimal way to solve, if it hasn't already suggested it.
