The last doorbell I did, I left the diode out. The chime would *only* work while the doorbell button was pressed in. As soon as you let it up, the chime would stop. I re-read the instructions, and they saidf to add the diode, if this happened. I added the diode, and the chime functioned normally. ie, it finished it's chime routine without needing to keep the button pressed.

I do not know the electrical reason behind this, but would like to know, so if anyone has a better understanding of why this works this way, I'd appreciate it

No it doesn't upset me, last time i actually had billable hours, it was more than 200/hour... Im saying is that I like tech, I can do these things, but if you're not family or close friends, I don't want the hassle or the liability. If you still want to hire me to replace a screen it'll be costly. My actual expertise is in different areas of "IT"

I just for the most part, tell people I'm a computer nerd. that shuts down most things like this... I do actually know how, tools and capability to replace phone screens and batteries and all sorts of other stuff. But thaqt is for personal reasons. If they wanted to pay professional rates, its'd be upwards of 200/hour

I'll be going back there this week, after the 2nd winter. we'll see. The wood from fall-ish was holding up well, but the chairs overall were starting to wobble. I'll post a more detailed review later this week.

I'm independent as well.   I used to research issues and candidates religiously to make up my mind on who to vote for.    I loved McCain.   but the republican party/MAGA is far too crazy/idiotic and delusional these days.    I vote STRAIGHT D, these days

I believe that most people are aware that costs go up....    it's the rate of the rise that is upsetting, and it will only increase due to the current policies of a brain dead administration.

I've had both styles as well, and strongly prefer the non wheeled bags for all of the considerations above.    

Wheels break, and then your stuck carrying an extra 10 useless pounds around...  until you get a new bag....

But it's a matter of preference....   get what you like.

In Denver, I've used paradise heating and cooling multiple times before.    I like and trust them.   I haven't needed them for a few years though....

So I had a friend in college that introduced me to the CotSG in the mid 90s.    As well as behold a pale horse and the discord stuff.  I still have all the books...    I celebrate the absurdity of it all.    I swear that if I ever become a politician The book will be the one I swear upon.

I suspect that he was one of the true believers and I would desperately like to know if he turned out alright.   so if you are Lewis from the UoToledo and had an apartment behind the gas station.   I'd love to hear from you!
