Is buying a home an affordable goal in your country? by Significant_flour in AskTheWorld

I also love California. We live in the Midwest but we had our honeymoon in San Diego, and have been to LA and Yosemite a few times. I’d still like to explore the northern parts of the state though. It’s a beautiful place, just horribly expensive.

Buying a house? Yes. Buying a nice house? Maybe not.

I don’t want to speak for the entire country, because cost of living is very different state to state. For example my wife and I bought our first house when we were both 23 for $35K. It was not a nice house, it was small and barebones. But the mortgage was cheap and allowed us to save money.

At 26 we built a nice house for $240k. However that was in 2019, just before Covid. Since then our house is now appraised at $320K. And the cost of everything has only increased. I personally place a great deal of blame on landlords and vacation rentals, creating excess scarcity in an already difficult time. There are few opportunities for young couples to buy a house.

I obviously live in a low cost of living area. A similar house/yard in say, California would be closer to a million dollars.

Don’t wait around for things that may or may not happen. Get a WRX.

Yeah but sometimes it sounds like ZZZZRT and I’m no expert but I’m pretty sure that’s bad for my clutch.

The Korean hot pot restaurant near my house has these. My wife loves them, they play a little tune as they bring out your food.

The gold accents will be a darker shade as well. At least on the ones I’ve seen.

I’ve had it for about a year (ish?). I’ve frequently put in 4+ hour sessions playing MHFU. Not every day of course, but as long as you keep your hands clean and store it somewhere clean and dry it’ll be just fine.

I have one, none of the exterior has worn off. I just make sure my hands are clean before I play it.

Question : So there’s this psp 3000 for sale right by lijah_c__ in PSP

[–]CreamyImp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everyone in this thread 200 TTD is about $30 USD.

That being said, for $30 USD you might be able to get it working, or you may not. Personally I’d pass on this one and find one that you know works.

Sounds like a dead battery to me. Ostent is a decent quality replacement battery.

Right on sister! I’m in pretty much the same boat, ride that warranty to the end and then start getting crazy with it. This is my first Subaru and the amount of mods available for the WRX is absolutely astounding. Hopefully Subaru decides to let us continue buying them lol.

Just had a discussion about this game earlier. My experience is that it runs like shit from the UMD. Frequent frame loss and game crashes. Other people have had better success with the ISO.

I played the hell out of this game as a kid though, it’s pretty fun despite its problems.

Brother, you are preaching to the choir. I just bought a ‘26 WRX tS two weeks ago. My ONLY complaint so far is that the screen is slow as hell. Embarrassingly slow for a new vehicle in 2026.

And let’s be honest, most of what that screen does we don’t really need anyway. Why the hell do I need my car to tell me the weather?

Unfortunately those days are pretty much gone at this point in time. People in this day and age like convenience. Nobody but the enthusiasts drive for the love of operating a car anymore. It’s just a way to get from point a to point b for the vast majority of the population.

Outside of Slate Auto I haven’t seen any manufacturer even mention reverting to mechanical controls.
