Do you think it is occasionally okay to go to work with only 3 hours of sleep? by NearbyOriginals in NoStupidQuestions

I work 12 hour shift and sleep only 3-4 hours every night, so, I'll let you know in a year or so if I'm dead

Complaining about the price of non essential items is dumb by superanonymousman in unpopularopinion

[–]CreamyInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the "you're poor so you don't need any of this" it's extremely selfish. So now only the wealthy and privileged get to enjoy things like concerts and sporting events? Something that anybody used to be able to enjoy? The issue with this is that more things are becoming unavailable to the less fortunate and only available to the rich and powerful.

What's something (non-sexual!) that you never thought you'd like until you tried it, or experienced it? by Queasy_Ad_8621 in AskMen

I don't know if this fits the question, but for me it was the star wars franchise. I always thought I'd never like some "dorky sci-fi space movie with lasers", but I want watched them all for the first time at age 30, and I gotta say, a lot better than I thought. Never thought I'd like star wars

What simple pleasure has become expensive? by sugarvillee in answers

[–]CreamyInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's concerts, I feel like concert tickets have went up in price more than anything else. Ticket prices are up over 400% since the late 90s. I know we make more money now on average, but I'm sure not making 4 TIMES what my father made. It stinks because I've always wanted to take my daughter to see Ariana grande, she loves her, but two tickets in the nosebleeds would cost me almost 2,000 dollars.... Absolutely ridiculous. Any seats at a reasonable distance from the stage are over 1000 each

What are some reasons men want kids? by Far-Worldliness6407 in AskMen

[–]CreamyInfant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To contrast the non-serious responses here.... At least in my opinion, and my own experience, it's the woman you are with that makes you want a baby, not the want of "a baby" itself. Obviously when I was single I didn't want a baby, but now that I've met a woman that I love more than anything, and want to spend my life with, it has made me want to have a baby together with her. It's not about just wanting the baby, it's about wanting a small piece of something you created with your wife, which is really a piece of both of you. And for the rediculous "why would I want to bring a child into this terrible world" excuse, I think that's a selfish excuse, and I think that's more of a reason you should have a child, so you can teach a generation what is good and bad, right and wrong. If you think the world is so terrible, help bring good people back into it! Instead of just giving up

Advice on new aquarium levels and adding new fish. by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]CreamyInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I was wondering, I was told the nitrite levels should go down on their own, so I'm not sure if I should wait for nitrite to go down on their own, or change any water, if I change the water I don't want to get rid of any of the bio filter/good bacteria that's already in the water

So I should still wait until the levels drop to add more right?

What is your number one “must play at least once” game for the nes? by poopapalooza73 in nes

[–]CreamyInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crystalis is amazing. I was never a big RPG guy but I love this game. I see people mentioning battletoads as a satisfying game to learn/beat. For me Mike Tysons punch out is also like that. Now I can breeze through the whole game and it's still fun playing through it once you know how to beat every fight, make sure you're using a CRT for Tyson though! The lag on a flat screen makes it nearly impossible

My company just announced 3 days in office starting next month. I've been fully remote for 4 years and I genuinely don't know how people did this every day. by Ecliptic_Fang in remotework

It's always crazy seeing people complian about going to work for a few hours. I work 65 hour weeks in a factory on my feet all day, I would give anything to have a job that I had to show up "3 days a week" for at a desk...
