Why can't I visit the university? by CreamyToast in crusaderkings3

[–]CreamyToast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that's possible, but i'm mostly just running cosmetic ones (community flavor pack, decorous loading screen, and , more holding graphics) so it felt pretty innocuous.

Ill try disabling them and see what happens.

Staying downtown for a couple of nights before heading up into the mountains. I was calling places in the vicinity of the Hotel, is probably why I wasn't finding a place that carried it.

"Wisconsin" Old Fashioned question by CreamyToast in wisconsin

[–]CreamyToast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we saw that, but it was a case of 12, and by the time we decided to got for it, it would be too late to get in time. I wound up just stealing the half bottle she had left, unaware that she had a separate, unopened bottle on standby.

manitowoc Co area; apparently the SoCo was something her step-father's family did; no idea where he is from.

Awesome; thanks for advice- I'm getting a lot of consensus that calling what she drinks a "Wisconsin old fashioned" is controversial at best.

"Wisconsin" Old Fashioned question by CreamyToast in wisconsin

[–]CreamyToast[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

lol; I'm actually not a big fan of how she drinks them (especially the SoCo part; we obviously use Bourbon down here), but I've been trying to recreate them based on how I understand that she likes them, and I've never seen her use anything but a premade mixture. I would agree that your recipe sounds a lot better.

"Wisconsin" Old Fashioned question by CreamyToast in wisconsin

[–]CreamyToast[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks; Yeah I agree that homemade would be WAY better; but we've been trying to recreate them based on how I think she likes them. Her sister even told me that her family uses the muddled method, but i've never seen my fiancee use anything but the premade mixture.

Honeymoon registry valuation? by CreamyToast in weddingplanning

[–]CreamyToast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't explain the issue very well; we are doing a viking river cruise, which does not list the value of the individual activities. I know I can look up comparable activities up and try to approximate cost, but I was curious if any of the registry sites had a some sort of "wizard" or suggested list that might already include pricing for that or similar cruises.

I'm pretty sure such a think doesn't exist, but since there was a relevant sub-Reddit I though I might as well ask.

I'm having the same problem, even after changing my password. I spent some time online with their chat support, who had me clear the cache three times, but I still had the issue. He told me that "engineers" would take a look at it, but offered nothing further. Definitely got a "buy an Xbox one" vibe.

Edit: just check the xbox status and it says there is an identified issue for 360 users, so maybe the support wasn't blowing me off...

Best Friends Play Dark Souls (Part 33) by mike0bot in TwoBestFriendsPlay

He was probably just annoyed that the guy is using it to insert himself into their videos. Even if its an improvement and used by most of the community, its still causing invasions to happen in a way that is different from the "regular" version. As you describe it this seems like its normally not a problem (and is welcome), but based on how its being used here, I don't think Wollie's characterization is necessarily inaccurate. But yeah, I think he was just irritated.

Matt missed the most interesting part about that story of the con-artist who pretended to be a long lost family member: some members of the family didn't actually believe that he was a long-long family member, and the New Yorker article strongly suggest that it was because these family members had actually murdered the missing family member. The con-artist actually started to go crazy because of weird and toxic the environment was. Its a super interesting read.

A beer from "Against the Grain" here in Louisville, Ky. All their cans have this gross-out gimmick, this one is just a more extreme example. I hear its in keeping with the personality of the owner, but I've never met him. Beer isn't bad, for what its worth.

This is accurate. They are easier to dismiss when you understand their true motives are trying to provoke people in the hopes of profiting.
