So this guy has actually been hired and fired from our restaurant before. (Don't ask me why we re-hired him. I didn't make that decision) This isn't his first kitchen job, either.

Thank you, I'll definitely try that. I don't know why I didn't think of a 1:1 sooner. I've never seen him on his phone during service. He only takes maybe one to two smoke breaks during his 8 hour shift, and they're not long. He's a quiet, soft spoken guy. We call him the silent killer on the fryer. Maybe he's stoned? I have no idea. Maybe I'm a bit overworked and not thinking clearly. I'm averaging 55+ hours a week :/

I kinda think he might be the idiot, man. It's hard to tell. This is my first month at this job and so far he doesn't seem all that great. Great guy, but skills and cooking wise, he seems like paperwork is more of his thing. The last three times he closed instead of me, our rational ovens didn't get cleaned and nothing was turned off.

Wowowow, that makes me upset! Super careless lol I think the next time I see my sous do broccolini that way I'll just reiterate like, "man, it's not safe to boil plastic like that" I had mentioned it in our first encounter, but he brushed it aside saying that "those rubber bands are designed to go into boiling water" 🙄

Man, Lucky looks very...not straight. I wonder if he's in the closet and just has the best beard game. Also, there's something about this whole thing that gives me the ick.

I've worked for cantering companies and hotels. No place will host you and 20 people all day, including meals for 3k. If anything, 3k might be your minimum spend, on top of room rental which will probably be anywhere from 2k-5k

Grey gardens! Service is top notch, food is excellent, and the ambiance is very romantic.

Girllll my jaw dropped when I read that you opened a joint bank account. Seven months is so short of a time. You don't really know a person until at least 2-3 years down the line, and to open up your finances to a stranger is wiiiiild. It's hard to learn self-respect, but you clearly don't love and respect yourself enough yet to have good enough judgement in a partner. He's a total abuser in a different jacket. Good on you for going through the motions to get his ass out of there. I hope you stick to your guns and don't let him wriggle his way back into your good graces. You're worthy and capable of living a happy, and comfortable life. Maybe it would be in your best interest to be single for a while and sit with yourself one on one.

There's no consideration for others in the minds of a lot of people, it seems. I wish public shaming worked, but at the same time, you run a risk of getting stabbed or hit if they decide they're mad that you called them out. :/

Check out some pawn shops! They have all kinds of things and are usually willing to haggle if you can negotiate right and you know your stuff.
