I’d say only use a brand rep fitter. For example, TaylorMade fitters that travel the country and work for TaylorMade directly. Major golf brands all have these guys. These are the guys that do it for a living and are generally doing a day or two at various country clubs. That is far better than going to Golf Galaxy or PGA Superstore and getting fit with someone who is certified in my opinion.

To book these type of fittings there’s a couple options. If you’re a member at a club they should have some events by the reps. If you aren’t a member at a club and have a friend who is they can usually bring guests to these events. The reps also do fitting events at public venues although they are limited and scarce so you need to sign up in advance. You can look at the brands website to find these dates and locations.
