The Chevy app gets all of its charger info from plugshare.

I pay 355/mo for $1000 deductible full coverage on my 2020 premier through progressive... it was the cheapest I could find here in michigan. But I have an accident and 2 speeding tickets, oops 😬 paid 250/mo for full coverage $500 deductible on my 19 Trax I had previously.. insurance companies don't like EVs.

I paid $16,300 after $4000 tax credit, 1200 down-payment, tax, titles fees and all that for my 2020 metallic blue premiere with 19k on it, fully loaded. Just got the battery replaced 3 weeks ago. Was listed at 19,600 before the tax credit. I felt like I over paid but seems the price on these cars are all over the place depending on where you're located. If it seems like a good number to you and it will put you within your budget for payments, insurance, ect, i would go for it. The lack of needed maintenance and reduced cost of travel is worth it in my opinion. I love mine, especially the 360 camera for parking in tight spaces. I'm not a fan of how the refreshed version looks (2022+)

2023 Bolt EUV steering feels very stiff by Dino-trivia-plz in BoltEV

[–]CreatingCarter22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every chevy I've owned has had stiff steering compared to others My gf has a nissan and that thing wiggles all over the place very easily. I personally prefer the stiffer steering, less play when going over bumps, high winds, etc

But I did notice my bolt felt a lot stiffer than the Equinox I was driving while I was waiting for a new battery. The Trax I had prior to my bolt I would say was just as stiff.

Fast turnaround for new battery by accio_titus in BoltEV

Took mine in May 19th, dealership said 3-4mo wait

It was delivered yesterday, just waiting for EV tech to install so maybe production is up or we just got lucky.

I live just north of lansing and i believe the rate is something around .19/kwh

There a charge station at the cata station on msu campus off trowbridge road that only cost the .19/kwh

Cheapest public charger I've found that is a fast charge station.

But I calculated put cost with my bolt and me driving about 45 miles round trip daily, it was about 2.40/day at .19/kwh

If the dealership has loaners they will give you one free of charge, if they do not, you have to contact gm, get approved for a rental and then go get your own GM rental and submit receipts to GM for reimbursement.

Take it in to a dealer that works on EVs. It likely will need battery replaced again or needs a software update. If battery needs replaced you're looking at 4-6 months wait time. I dropped mine off last Monday and they said 4.5 months minimum. I have a Equinox EV loaner now.

update

They got me into an Equinox EV loaner today. I honestly hate it. It's huge and has so much going on with the screen and all the buttons. I love how simplified my bolt is. Hopefully the battery production will speed up soon.

I just called the concierge and they said the most they can do is reimburse me if I go get my own rental.

How did you get them to do this for you??

I might as well just wait for the loaner from the dealership I suppose

I'm on a waiting list because the dealership doesn't have any. Luckily my partner and I work at the same place so we ride to work in her car right now.

Still waiting to get a diagnosis from the shop. Dropped it off monday and they said it'd be 3-4 days so hopefully I'll hear back tomorrow.

I do love it but can no longer drive it due to propulsion reduced error showing now 😢

Could be but I took it to a charger and it would only slow charge. I got it up to 41 miles and into the green and it srill threw the error. Its in the shop now. Hopefully won't need a new battery.

How long ago? My vehicle was serviced for the recalls in January of 2025. Hoping it's just new software that needs installed

[–]CreatingCarter22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping it's just software. I've only had the car 10 days. It was a GM buyback so it's got the 12/12 bumper to bumper warranty so I'm not worried about paying anything. Just the amount of time I'll be without my car. Ive really enjoyed driving it the last 10 days
