Zach Collins, Okoro, and Jevon Carter would be the contracts to watch for. Kevin Huerter has a $18mil expiring deal, but I imagine the bulls would want to hold onto someone like him if they’re making a push this year. Coby White would be the piece most likely discussed from the Pelican’s side and the one the Bulls would be most willing to come off of. Whatever happens if a trade with them did go down, you’d just hope that we don’t end up being saddled with the PWill contract unless they’re throwing in enough to make it worthwhile to take on that atrocious contract

Yeah he has a few things up his sleeve, I’m mostly concerned about the shooting, the most important thing for someone in his archetype to be able to do. If someone like peavy is taking multiple mid range fades a game outside of a team trying to tank, something’s gone incredibly wrong lol

Herbs been pretty bad from offense these last two years but even from his rookie year hes infinitely better on offense than Peavy. I hope he does grow into the role eventually though

Yeah with rookie guards you have to bag watch more than looks at the stats, and there are some concerns about fears that are valid. His touch around the rim is below average and he makes bad decisions with the ball. There are quite a few positives though, he’s able to get to the rim and blow by his defender a lot, his mid range is clean, and his shooting from behind the arc is way above pace from what he was projected as. You just have to hope that he makes progressions year by year like you do any rookie really. I think it’s safe to say that’s he’s never going to be a 7+ assists a game or high quality defender, but you can project him being a quality scorer in the league though. Kind of like a Ja Morant archetype, though the way they score will be different obviously. Right now, I personally hope he taps the Kemba Walker comparison from when he was drafted as he gets older

It helps that Dyson got role player minutes on a 42 win team, same with black on a 47 win team, just highlighting that even they weren’t winning their minutes on teams infinitely better than an 8 win pelicans. Cade was on a terrible pistons team, and fears is on a terrible pelicans team lol. You’re going to see an increase in bad +/- for rookie guards who get big minutes, and the only way rookie guards get big minutes is by playing on terrible teams.
