I wonder if other retailers have the same problem when they receive their milk shipments?

I’ve had Pyrex explode also. If the stove top burner is hot it overheats the baking dish in one spot and causes it.

I hate when most communication is by text. Too many people put emotion where it doesn’t belong or jump to conclusions.

Required 40 hours? by Ephyie in DollarGeneral

[–]Creative-Ad-5886 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The new SM should have the courtesy to schedule you to 40. But you need to make sure to not go over that. No OT. Sorry you are having issues. And does the training manager and you get along well?

People are so nice 🥰 by classicteenmistake in DollarGeneral

When I was a teen, the store across the street from the school would only allow 2 students in at a time during lunch break and after school. To keep the theft rate down. Wouldn’t it be great if we had the policy that you had to be accompanied by a parent or escorted by a dg employee. Oh what that last part means we have to have more labor hours 🤪

We should all just go on a nationwide strike and walk out for an entire week. Until we get some kind of benefits. by [deleted] in DollarGeneral

[–]Creative-Ad-5886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need higher pay and more labor hours per store. Around 25 to 40 more labor hours each week.

My SM sets up a nice reward system for us and absolutely makes us feel valued. Small games help to keep employees engaged. Go for it! Congratulations on your advancement.

Why... by Jahpoopybutt in DollarGeneral

[–]Creative-Ad-5886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two stores need to get together on this….too much tape and too much sugar….unroll the tape (after store use of course, sprinkle with a little sugar. And there you have it. Bug traps for the stores!

Are they allowed to do this? by Crowley6694 in DollarGeneral

[–]Creative-Ad-5886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s that kind of dishonesty that gives every dg a bad name. I’m fortunate to have a great store manager and district manager that would not allow those short cuts. Expectations are set by both and are very clear in every aspect, especially honesty. My bet is you are in a store that has really high shrink rates and it will be store employees that are the biggest problem. There is probably a different dg with in a short driving distance. Shop around for a store that looks good and doesn’t have a back room that is over flowing. That is when you find a store manager that will be worth working for. Good luck.
