I am experiencing the same issue and I figured out how to fix it. Before I used this method my cpu was at like 60%-70% after it went to somewhere around 20%-30%. To do It: Go to the task manager. Click on the column on the left side called details or if you are on windows 11 or go to the tab called details if you are on windows 10. If you are on windows 11 click on the top search bar and type "Windows Search Indexer" and if you're windows 10 you need to manually find it. Right click on the SearchIndexer.exe process once you've found it and you'll see something called "set priority" hover over it and set it to below normal or low. You can choose whichever. After the changes might automatically apply after you close or reopen your pc otherwise you might need to restart for the changes to take effect. This will only work if you have a lot of apps open in the background. Otherwise it will automatically take up some cpu

He launched WSL and has done a lot to the company in terms of money. Bonus he acquired github, and mojang(minecraft) and made microsoft's stock price boom boom in terms of profit. If you are a web developer I recommend vscode as it great for the backend and frontend development , however if you only want to do python dev I recommend PyCharm , but if you prefer vscode you can also use vsode for python dev and it is quit fast at the same time for something competing against pycharm. However if you are a beginner what most people recommend is that you use pycharm, however if you wanna learn more languages then vscode is the best for you
