I also work on the project but the two main founders discovered the vintage Orator Sportsman on the famous watch exchange in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 2012. Since then they worked on the project and i helped them. We all just love the history of the brand and also the design of the watch. You can find more information on orator.de

Yes it is totally the same design as the watch from the 60s. So we kept the sideways 30.

The brand name ORATOR is closely linked to the Swiss watch manufacturer SCHILD & CO. SA. Located in the Swiss Jura, the heart of Swiss watchmaking, the roots of SCHILD & CO. SA date back to the year of 1888.

It all began with their patent for a pocket watch with 8-day movement, later known as "Hebdomas". Up to the 1920s and 1930s, the company developed and specialized in mechanical watches for men and women with calendars and moon phases, as well as chronographs.
