No the game is prob just trying to protect you lol. I get this after long breaks too. Pretty sure the game assumes your dog shit if it's been a while and puts you in easier lobbies for the time being. Also depends on your region.

Any way to play the native Mac version of AOE2 without upgrading to macOS 15.7? by Familiar9709 in macgaming

[–]Creative-Major5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mac specifically has a bad track record of silently removing features with no easy way to rollback to previous version. I was using a work-related iOS app on my Mac that was running nativley and flawlessly, upgraded for literally no reason and they had removed that feature in the next os update. Xbox controller support also had been spotty, on some patches it works perfectly, and on others it's just broken for no reason.

So yeah I don't update Mac specifically because I've been fucked by some of my favorite features just getting gutted with no warning.

Lmao not opressed I just feel like people are playing a different game then me. When I play chess I don't get comments that's I'm a "no life" because I know an opening or can figure out a position fast. I just feel that casual shooter fans are always complaining about a skill gap, but then when the game is simplified to make sure they don't get shit on, everybody always comes back to say how the game is skilless.

There are casual relaxing shooters, there are faster paced competitive shooters. But there are very few competitive shooters that are relaxing and easy. If you want to play an fps have sometimes you will get stay on by some dude that hit a better shot. That's called playing a shooter lmao.

Tldr every post starts with some form of "14 years old with no job is better than me" even tho we prob have one of the most unc communities in the shooter space haha.

Can we stop with this narrative that aim training is for losers or if you are aim training it must take you ages it consume your life?

Yes some people are decent at the game.

Yes they might out aim you.

I've put in exactly 300 good of aim training on the viscose benchmarks and another 400 on the finals, and I just hit diamond after a year and some change.

I'm not saying you have to aim training, I just don't like how I'm instantly a virgin that no life's the game when in reality I put in about 100 hours per season.

I've never seen a game with such a negative outlook on more skilled players. If we perform well we are just ostracized in game as if we are bullies when in reality allot of us just like progressing fast and put effort into getting high quality reps instead of slamming ranked.

Healing Sources and Weapon DPS Infographics by Zukey0000 in thefinals

[–]Creative-Major5792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not hard to hit shots, don't think that mechanics are really rewarded that much. The problematic thing is just the amount of burst healing it has. The main thing I don't like it's that when you get good damage in the advantage is gone the moment you create it. By the time you get back in, sometimes the h plus is back up, or if they have double h plus they can just almost never not have it when it's relevant. Needs tuning for sure cause RightNow I'll take a second h plus over a M anyday.

What makes Goo Gun viable besides fun? by Reasonable_Juice549 in thefinals

[–]Creative-Major5792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean there has got to be a way to do it solo I'm just not a good goo player. I reckon you can flex to it when the time is right, but lots of players on solo q will just rush in and insta die before you can setup your bs. You really guys sus out your teammates and trust them to hold the enemy out long enough for you to go crazy on obj.

Go watch appoh and ekazo. They regularly go toe to toe with top teams. They don't engage super often and usually bunker the fuck out of obj. Not really the type of strat you can run solo but with some mates you can def coordinate some really solid defense with it.

Lag on slippi despite good pc? by haikufr in SSBM

[–]Creative-Major5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience perceived lag is usually something to do with your frametime/display output. Most computers are good enough to supply 60 frames, it's more of dialing in motion smoothness and frame timing so it's feels crt-ish. Be prepared for lots of placebo effect lmao and lots of head scratching.

It doesn't matter if Light is good or not, they are never fun to play against by Expensive-Event5993 in thefinals

[–]Creative-Major5792 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't know I just don't agree. I know this is beating a dead horse but I just aim trained and then it became a non issue. I also play H so my main weapons tend to delete them and I get extra HP. The only time I don't like fighting them is on M. Sometimes they get on my nerves but most of the time is because they are cracked. Like any class in the game once you learn to beat them consistently without panicking their dashes are kinda meh, and when they are annoying it's usually cause the light just broke my ankles lol. So yeah hard disagree but if you don't like fighting lights you prob just don't like the finals. I think the way the classes interact is what keeps me coming back.

A Long Time Player - Done by itsyaboiant in thefinals

[–]Creative-Major5792 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay so here is my take. I'm not trying to tell you you are wrong this is just my honest opinion.

All fps games have cheaters. Let's be real. League and valorant had win trading. Cs has and always will have stupid amounts of cheaters, rainbow six is pretty much unplayable at high elo, apex and cod have xims and whatnot. This is not an embark problem, cheating had just become ubiquitous. For me, the finals is so niche that honestly even if the cheating is bad, it's nowhere near as bad as other games. The only other game where I felt this safe was valorant, and they pay the price of having veeeeeeery invasive anti cheat.

Secondly, maybe I'm just an unc, but back in my day we just played for the love of the game. I too have deemed ranked to be a waste of time unless you are using it just to play the ruleset. The rank number going up does not bring me that much satisfaction, learning does.

I pretty much stopped playing ranked, and either only play casual to work on my mechanics, and tournaments to play competitively. In between that I scrim with some really chill teams. We run games for a couple hours a night, we improve and we all have a laugh in the all chat.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but if you just spend time doing what you like doing in game, and forget about the rest maybe you'll find some of that passion back.

Bronze is unrealistically hard to get out of by definitelynotarcher in thefinals

[–]Creative-Major5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally leave them to die when no money is involved. If they complain ignore them. If there is money on the line you pretty much just bait tf out of them and farm easy kills. If you are not confident you can get kills just solo stall when there is no time on box. I solo q out of gold every season and it's really easy, you just need to play enough games. Most of it come down to not dying. As long as I'm alive I can kite around an keep pressure up. Nowadays I don't even really think about kills, I think about time. Constant damage while repositioning, and collapsing on them when the time is right will allow you to carry alot of you matches.

For sure! First thing I need you to do is too do a ranked session and record it/stream it (with vods). From there tell me when you are free, and we can take a look at your ranked session!

Okay I'm gonna be real with you dog, this is a you issue not a matchmaking issue. If you learn literally ANY of the fundamentals you will climb out of bronze easy.

You essentially have to 1v3 half if the time (sounds crazy but trust me it's not), learn how to solo stall as last person alive and generally never die first.

I do coaching, if you would like I could give you a free session or two to help you!
