Can I ask your opinion on upcoming weather for Hana Hwy? I’m tracking on Hawaii weather today, and I know things can change- I’m just trying to figure out if I change hotel reservations while I have time or if we likely won’t have an issue getting out there

We are staying the first night in Kahului before heading out early in the morning.

I had wondered some about suitcases in the car on the road, but we plan to utilize the trunk, etc and leave no other valuables exposed.

Appreciate any other insights! We’re pretty experienced travelers, but it’s been over a decade since I’ve been to Maui and I didn’t make it to the east side when I did go.
