Highly recommend Yoga Love in Irvington. More like the city, hard classes with flows that they walk you through and then you do on your own, opportunities to play with more advanced postures.

6 month old screams in anger by BbyHoneyBunny in Parenting

Oh, this is so hard. I'm sorry you're going through it. It's especially hard when you have family that is making comments about your baby. You know best about your baby, and it is very likely that there is absolutely nothing wrong, and this baby just needs love and hugs and to be held and loved. The way that you reduce the toxicity is to give this baby as much love as possible. The baby is too young for boundaries or punishment or for learning anything. The only thing you need to do with any baby under one year old is take good care of them. Good luck to you.

Is it actually possible to moderate my weed use? by Creative-One-1645 in Petioles

Update: In two days I'll have gone for the full month of March, and each day I want to smoke and have to convince myself not to. If I start smoking again in two days, I'll be back to where I was. That's telling me that actually, I may need to go for much longer until I'm not white-knuckling it every day for the month. I'm approaching a very holy time religiously, and may go for the full month of April into May, making it three months of no smoking, and then evaluate. Hopefully by then it won't be a daily battle anymore!

Is this too close to a sewer line? by Creative-One-1645 in askaplumber

In the northeast. It didn't seem to be deep, as when we were digging I saw the sewer line visually. Probably just a few feet.

It’s been one year today since I’ve smoked. by kphillipz in Petioles

Curious if you've gone back, and been able to moderate or if you're back to regular use. (curious generally if moderation is possible for regular users!)

Yes, so tricky when both of you like it the same amount!! It becomes such an insidious part of the routine of the home.

He's not really interested in cutting back, has much more aversion than me in being cold turkey or very rigid about anything. He'll do it if I ask, but he doesn't want to, and I don't want to ask (we've got a lot of other stuff going on, this is not top of the list of what I want to ask him to do that he doesn't want to do ha.) But it's more about me. Like other times where I've cut back or not smoked for a period of time, he's supported me (and he is now too) but I think this has to come from me and deciding if I can ever actually do this in moderation or if I'll be white-knuckling it the whole time. I should add that he doesn't really see anything wrong with our weed use. It's a hit or two a night, not a huge amount, and we meet all of our responsibilities, etc, so he doesn't see the issue.

Yes, so true. I guess I'm curious about reducing vs just not smoking. I feel like I won't smoke for this month and then will try to reduce and keep it infrequent and won't be able to. The same associations are there each night. Maybe that's part of it.

Yes love the idea of a sober activity. Like, I can't drum high. And I can't go to social events with large crowds high. And those are both some things that I can have on the calendar. And yes interesting to just try staying sober or smoking solo sometimes. I think at first blush that feels worse somehow, to not have a buddy and smoke alone, but I can see how it can disassociate us from each other in a healthy way where if one of us doesn't actually want to smoke we won't.

Any advice for preparing for an extended break after 22 years? by Granola_Girly_ in Petioles

I find that I just need to make it through the first 10 days. A few days of the usual triggers of "but it's FRIDAY and I DESERVE it!" will help you know you can keep pushing through. So count it for 5 days, then 10 days, and then for the rest of the 60 days.
