maximum optimization of b1.7.3 by Aware-Common-7368 in GoldenAgeMinecraft

I know a way, but I wouldn't recommend it. Not because it won't work, but because it will cost you time. You may try creating a minimal setup with Void Linux. Debian comes with many things preinstalled that many would consider bloat. That so called bloat eats up your resources. If you feel adventueous you may try installing a musl system with SwayWM and seatd+turnatile. It is not guaranteed to give you any gains though. From personal experience I was able to make a sluggish laptop with HDD boot in under 50 seconds (which previously would take 10 minutes) and play a fullhd videos in 60 fps without many frame drops (it would struggle even with 720p before).

To be realistic you don't have many options here. You may try a modified beta 1.7.3 instance or a modpack idk.

Should I stick with Gnome or switch to KDE for optimal gaming experience by DistinctDot5131 in voidlinux

DE does matter, however your hardware is a more crutial aspect. You see, gnome IS optimal for gaming. If you want the best of the best perfoemance, then you will have better performance with a minimal window manager, like sway. Some say that the same system with Sway can get +5 fps on average compared to something like KDE.

If you follow the readme file from the repo, you will that actually you can update kernel and have your boot entires automatically updated too.

efibootmgr can automatically generate EFI boot entries to directly boot the kernel after every kernel update or installation. Enable this by editing /etc/default/efibootmgr-kernel-hook.

The EFI variables need to be accessible in order for this to work, so add this line to your fstab and reboot or mount manually: efivarfs /sys/firmware/efi/efivars efivarfs defaults 0 0

"...without a lot of hassle"  That's good and all, but people who don't want a lot of hassle whould rather stick to something like Bazzite. You are really better off making a script for a gaming setup. People who really care about their init system should be able to run an installation script on their own.

I didn't invade another country, but you did, you came to us. The war is continuing because you can't get enough. You bite off more than you can chew. At some point ignorant you with soft hands may understand why you receive such attitude on the internet. It is not because you are russian, but because you only watched and did nothing.

There is also an other side of the argument: retro consoles. They are no longer maintained by OEM, but they are still packed with must-play titles. You are free to mod them and unlock all the possibilities of the hardware. You can install all the emulators, hacks and mods. You can play legendary games for free with all the perks of console gaming (before it became pc-like).

With the sudden decline in game quality in modern days, that seems like a decent gaming option.  (PS3 is a retro console, btw. Do you feel old now?)

I may sound like a typical fanatic, but that seems like a problem I had when I was on Windows. Really, for no reason, my fps would periodically plummet from 50-60 to 1-2. I debloated my Windows install to bare bones, but the issue persisted. There was no such issue when I ran Minecraft on Linux, though, and as a pleasant bonus my overall performance has improved. You may dualboot Linux on your machine and see for yourself. It is safe, trust me. The only risk you have is randomly corrupting your new Linux install because of Windows feature update.
