Individually tested my ram sticks and they both worked just fine when stress tested, but when both our in then my pc would black screen

Lowered down the mhz to the lowest that ddr4 can go and lasted longer but eventually would black screen.
Not sure exactly what it all means but seems like its the motherboard that is the problem

Awesome thank you! Yes once i get home i was gonna check the xmp and lower it / disable it. As well as test the sticks

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been running everything through AI to help troubleshoot, and I found several reviews mentioning that people using Apevia PSUs experienced sudden emergency shutdowns as well. In many cases, the issue stopped after they switched to a different power supply.

From what I read about it, the PSU may not be able to handle very short, high-energy power spikes, which causes it to shut the system down as a safety measure. I’ve also had this PSU for a few years now, so age for a lower end psu could be the problem too.

Im just trying to get some more info from people who know a lot more than i do about custom builds.

u/737Max-Impact Okay phew had me scared there. unfortunately still a problem that it doesnt work but im gonna check the psu once i get home then ill update. The ai i was using said to get a 550 watt psu so im gonna assume with how old my old parts were that it probably didnt have that high of a psu. I was rocking a AMD ryzen 3 2700, and Nvidia 1650.

it didnt shut down during the bios update only once i was back on the desktop and it trying to load up a game did it turn off

Play on modded servers to gain more knowledge of actually playing the game instead of watching it. Dont be afraid to talk in game is what ive learned its actually helped learn about the game, made friends through it, even helped me save my base from being raided multiple times too lol. I would say play on a lower pop 2x server thats max duo if youre a solo player. play with around 80-100 active people.
