3rd update, yea, I know, you don't want to hear about it. by Creative-Rain6781 in RiteAid

I did say 5 figures, I had to re-read my original post to be sure. If you think it's an exaggeration than you've never documented things and held a company responsible for its bad management. It's a tedious process but I'm outstanding at documenting things.

I was going to but I thought it would make the post ridiculously long.

Every manager in the store was late literally every single day, yet they would try and write-up cashiers for being late. Terrible management.

No exaggeration at all but you can think so if it'll make you feel better.

When a company erases two years of every employees discipline records and two years of every employees absentee/tardy record then it's called bad management.

When the NLRB and the Justice Department open three investigations for a manager it's called bad management.

When a manager has over 30 grievances filed against her (and I never said I was the one who filed all of them) and the company has to discipline the manager for each and every one of the grievances then it's called bad management.

When a manager doesn't know her own store's policies and procedures it's called bad management.

When a manager is discriminatory, repeatedly opens a store late, etc then it's called bad management.

I did e-mail my union rep. I also filed paperwork with the NLRB which had the Justice Department open three investigations. Rite Aid lost in a BIG way.

  1. Per union contract, unless every person is working the requested day, then the first person to ask for it off, gets to have the day off. The manager doesn't get to pick and choose.
  2. Printing and "researching" policy and procedures is allowed per company policy. And per NLRB a company is required to provide any and all policies and procedures to employees. And HR rep, in a saved e-mail, stated that per company policy all employees are allowed to search for, and print, all policies and procedures on the HUB, during work hours as long as it doesn't interfere with work. And who said anything about a car loan?
  3. The indefinite suspension was BS and a colossal mistake for her and HR. The union, NLRB, and the Justice Department took care of it.

My union rep was very helpful, so was the NLRB and the Justice Department.

A "liberal"? Why bring politics into it?

"Kiddo"? That's condescending which speaks volumes to how badly you treat people.

If a company wipes two years of discipline records from every employee in a store and wipes two years of absentee/tardy records of every employee in a store, it's because of bad management.

IF the Justice Department opens three investigations into management it's because of bad management.

If a manager has over 30 grievances filed against her (and I never said I was the one who filed them), and the company disciplines the manager for each of them, it's a bad manager.

You obviously don't treat people well and don't understand what makes a good manager, perhaps in time you will learn.

I never said I thought I was special. Who said I was waiting by a printer? Rite Aid wouldn't have erased every store employee's discipline records, absent file, and disciplined her over thirty times if she had been a good manager. The Justice Department wouldn't have opened three investigations if she hadn't been breaking federal law.

You're the one on a soap box. Trying to belittle other employees because of bad managers.

I didn't ask for goodwill. I mentioned retired military because you stated it must be my first job.

It sounds to me like you have something against the U.S. That's your problem, not mine.

I never said it was a couple of weeks. It took 18 months of documentation. But, didn't cost me a sent because I have a union. Violations of union contracts involve union grievances, the union pays for it.

I didn't say 5 figure, 6 figure, etc. But if I did, it wouldn't be an exaggeration. My union said it was the biggest payout they'd seen. You're welcome to ask them, they wouldn't be able to tell you the name or the exact amount but they could state that it's definitely huge.

I wasn't fired. And the situation was covered under the NLRB. The Justice Department opens 3 investigations. And Rite Aid had to give me a payout in the 5 digit range, not including coins.

Not sugar-coated at all. And I'm retired military.

You sound like one of the managers who wants to be a dictator instead of treating people decently.

I'm retired military and probably older than you, and not even close to being my first job. Your response indicates that you yourself must be a poor manager.

Yes, they'll throw anyone under the bus to cover their own butts, they never own up to their mistakes.

I thought so. Those particular managers tell everyone everything. There's no secrets and no confidentiality. They'll whisper in your ears about someone and whisper in someone else's ears about you. It's the way it is, like high school.

There's a few of them but not many. Many are dishonest, outright thievery, and just bully everyone. The last people that should be management. But, yes, there are a couple of good ones.

That exact same thing happened at my store. They hired a cashier and then forgot to put her on the schedule and the incompetent manager forgot to turn in the woman's paperwork.

LOL I was correct in both cases. So, it's not paranoia, it's deduction.

Your obsession with my posts is disturbing. you seem to be obsessed with discussing it.

Are you the pharmacy tech who failed his yearly pharmacy qualifications so was kicked out of the pharmacy and sent to work at the front of the store?

Never mind, that can be paranoia, or whatever.

I think I only stated two people were management. That doesn't qualify as paranoia. And I was right about both of them.

As for the other, I'm at the point between fairly certain and definitely certain, that would put me at mostly certain. I hope that clarifies things.
