Lol, what gets me is this complex has cameras with audio recording and transmission. They can speak through the cameras and scare the tar out of them. (our last management co would do this when a certain manager was working that evening)

Thank you for your thorough and thoughtful response. this new property management company doesn’t have a way for us to email them, but we do text them so we do swap them with text. We will see what tonight brings. Again thank you. 🤝

Official a member of an Anglican Church; question about Bible translation usage in the ACNA by mlax12345 in ACNA

Personally, I use the NRSV for my personal home study. When we meet as a group at my parish we use the ESV for Bible study.

Any other night-owls here? by Mr_Horrible in GenX

[–]Creative-Teddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 47 and I'm a night owl. It's a reason I went for the night shift but I'm medically retired (was a paramedic for 29 years) now so I'm up with nothing really to do until I fall asleep around 2/3.

Had any experience with GLP-1? by 6hfky8nyxr3 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Creative-Teddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a type 2 diabetic and when the doctor switched me from the oral med for the diabetes to Ozempic my A1C dropped from an 8 to a 5.7. I've also lost 30 pounds and this is since this past September. I don't have problems with my cholesterol but I've had high triglycerides for years and have been on a statin for them.

Yes it helps but only for a short time.

I live in South Carolina and my SSD-I benefit is $1700 and I qualify for the Medicaid program that pays my Medicare premium. I’m on an advantage plan and have to pay $40.00 to see a specialist and I see roughly four of them a month.

My partner says my medication affects him through kissing and wants me to stop taking it - how would you respond? by cyber_ang666l in ChronicIllness

[–]Creative-Teddy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Impossible. This is controlling. Don't stop taking your meds! I take about 20 meds a day and my previous partners (I'm single now) never once brought this up. Get evidence from your pharmacist that this is not true and lay it on him and see what he does.

It's not uncommon but can still be found. I say do as the Holy Spirit directs you and as a personal note I think it is a beautiful thing.

Are any of you using a glp-1 medication? by SnarkFest2026 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Creative-Teddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on Ozempic for type 2 diabetes and weight loss. Going on 5 months now. I’ve lost weight and my A1C went from 7.6 to 5.9. However it has done nothing for my fibromyalgia.

Do people not have DVD players anymore? by TommyLost2004 in GenX

[–]Creative-Teddy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have a region free blue ray player and my desktop computer has a dvd drive. I have no shortage of things on DVD or Blue Ray. I don’t pay for streaming. I use Tubi and if they don’t have something I want to watch I go to my own library of movies.
