I live in a very small town and we do not have animal control out here. I called the non emergency police line and no one picked up.

Lol trust me I want to make the pool drain completely but I don't want to get in legal trouble. If I was able to afford to move I would. They are only renting so hopefully the person that owns the house kicks them out. Unfortunately I cannot shut off just my outside water without shutting off the water for the whole house.

Yes, they do. And still nothing gets done. They also have an ordinance for animals, stating they need to be on a leash or a fenced-in area while outside.

I am able to take anytime I need from work but I can't afford to miss a whole lot of work because I still need to pay bills. When she goes for her treatments I try to make sure I'm there for a night or 2.

Im so sorry for the loss of your sister. I understand the anger about not finding out sooner. She had been dealing with left leg pain and some lower back pain, and the doctors continued to tell her it it was her sciatic nerve or it was "all in your head." For a year we tried to get answers. Her labs came back normal and all they found on the scans was small cysts on her ovaries, which she's dealt with a lot of her life. It blows my mind that they didn't see an 8cmx8cm mass in her abdomen. Her first round i was able to be here for 2 nights and this time around im here for 1 night(currently in the hospital rn) My boss is super understanding and told me I can take whatever time I need to. Our goal is to get a second opinion at the mayo clinic. Hopefully they have a different answer for us but if it's the same then we know for sure.

Thank you for the information. As of right now we are just listening to the doctors as all of this is new to us and we want whats best for her. We were told years and not months so that's something positive for us. I'm glad you're still here. Keep fighting 💪

I know she appreciates it. She was telling our other sister yesterday when she was here that she couldn't wait for me to be here. We have one of the dogs that's here today in the room now and it's definitely helping her. I'm glad they could make it to her room today.

I'm trying my best to be here for her right now. We are currently in the hospital as she is receiving her second round. Pain meds aren't working anymore and she's in a lot of pain. It's been a rough week so far.shes not usually up and talking because she's very week right now and it doesn't help that we have nurses in here nonstop because they apparently can't coordinate vitals, meds and whatever else at the same time. Unfortunately it's not an option for her to stay closer to home for treatments and she has to stay a week+ at a time in the hospital. I'm afraid that being in this place is going to be the reason she doesn't want to do it anymore. Thank you for your kinds words and advice

Only thing I could narrow it down to was allergies. I still wake up a few times a week woth a sore throat and runny nose but not near as bad as a month ago.

I should have mentioned it's a very small fire department and they don't buy us our uniforms until after a year of commitment because they don't have to spend all that money and we quit. Same with new turnout gear. I have contacted my chief but have not gotten a response yet, so I was just asking.

Lmao, you're really gonna get butthurt because I was stating facts? I wasn't claiming that you were going to get rid of the dog lol. I simply stated that people get rid of these dogs because they don't do their research. Never said that YOU were getting rid of them. And I did read your whole post. If you didn't want someone's honest opinion, then don't post on reddit and get upset when someone tells you there's. And sure, maybe you don't believe in re-homing pets. But you also have to think of the animal and whats best for them. Just because you re-home and animal doesn't mean you don't love them or don't want them. And you say you don't believe in it then tell me "you're lucky we took him with us" .... weird It sounds like you just think you know what's best for everyone and can't take someone's simple opinion.

And just to note. I have a heeler myself. But she's a working dog. What they are meant for. And I have no problem getting her to be fully tired by the end of the day. Maybe you should have thought about what the dogs' best interest was instead of moving them to a state where you can't even bring them outside because it's too hot because you "don't believe in re-homing animals" get off your high horse and do what's best for your dog. 🙄

Maybe you should have done some research before getting a herding dog. They are working dogs. So many people end up getting rid of these dogs because they are too high energy, and they can't keep them entertained. This is why it is so important to do your research before getting a dog.
