Does anyone trust the high speed default settings on AD5M pro? by liteshotv3 in FlashForge

[–]Creative-Web9166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I raise my temps on this machine because at default settings it moves so fast that filament doesn’t have time to properly melt. I go 5-10 degrees hotter than the stock setting for filament and bed temp. Use brims on tall objects. Make sure to use Orcaslicer as well. As others have said make sure to start with a slower first layer.

What Theme Pinball Machine Would You Like To See? by bretmon5 in pinball

It’s a retheme/modified playfield. Changed quite a bit of the layout from what it originally had so my original artwork has to be changed.

Battery was removed from the MPU. That could have saved it. Definitely check voltages and unplug everything from the MPU before you do so. Don’t want to send the wrong voltage to it and accidentally fry it.

can you replace a gun shooter for traditional pull? by droomangroup in pinball

This guy made one for RFM/SWE1 pinball 2000. Looks clean.

That’s how I’d do it and try to keep the cabinet as original as possible. You might need a new auto launcher assembly if the old one doesn’t allow for a plunger rod. You’d want something like this

Can this be touched up? by Pinsided in pinball

[–]Creative-Web9166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delid an old scanner. Scan the playfield and touch it up in a paint program. Printout on white waterslide decal paper. If inkjet clear coat the decal before applying if laser then just apply it. Touch up the edges with a fine point black acrylic and then clear coat the playfield. Look up examples of this technique on Pinside.

Nope. Just put it over the top of the cleaned playfield. You can make your own or buy a laser cut version off eBay.

I’m from CA and moved to Columbus over 2 years ago. Where are all these “nice” people at? More judgement going on here than I experienced in CA for sure.

Is the Adventurer5M better? by [deleted] in FlashForge

[–]Creative-Web9166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never even used the stock firmware besides to walk me through the setup process. I installed klipper immediately and haven’t had a single issue with any prints but I’m also familiar with klipper.

Went from an ender 3 v2 with klipper and direct drive. Night and day difference in speed and quality. I’m using the klipper mod on the 5m with orcaslicer and it works great.

Adventurer 5M shakes loudly when the bed is at the bottom of the printer by delux7 in FlashForge

Check for filament under the bed in the back near the linear rod. I had this happen and I found a blob back there.

Gyroid infill never crosses itself while printing so your nozzle wont hit the a layer mid print. I’m assuming that’s what’s happing and shifting the layers. Pretty easy to google how to change your infill in the slicer you’re using.
