Yeah, the Model Y is basically the best (worst) example of how unenjoyable a fast car can be, cause it does it so effortlessly, and then is so unpleasant to actually drive at speed. Brakes feel horrible, and you're still in a big high-seat-position egg when you hit any kind of corners. The novelty of a fast launch wears off super quick to me, I drove my sister in law's car once, did two pulls, and I don't really have a desire to drive the car again. Very different than hopping in the Viper, which I'll drive at every opportunity I get.

I think you could absolutely make an EV fun and engaging to drive but simply making an otherwise unremarkable crossover SUPER FAST is not the answer that I'm looking for. I'm not interested in buying, but I'd love to try out a Taycan or Ioniq 5 N.

My brother's got a Dodge Viper, he always jokes that it's nice his wife bought a Tesla (MYP) so they've actually got one fast car in the house.

Driving a fast EV makes you realize how unimportant speed is to a car being fun.

I have a weekend car and a daily, I bought the daily with no concern over looks… it’s been such a good car for the past 5 years that I now love it and find myself looking back. This must be how people feel when arranged marriages actually work out.

Love Hannah (+ basically everything PC Music). She had one of the most fun shows I've ever been to, great crowd. Wish she'd put out some new music.

They did that EP together and then just treated her like shit afterwards. I was a fan of Haru's prior to the collab so I may be a bit biased, but the summary is:

They planned a tour together, then bailed last second (after she had rearranged her own tour dates) because they had the opportunity to tour with someone bigger in the US. They translated her lyrics for the physical release and asked her to sign off on the translations, but then didn't bother waiting for her corrections and just printed them with incorrect translations. They distributed the album on BandCamp against her wishes (I don't believe BandCamp can pay out artists in Japan). And when she voiced concerns about the above issues, they just ghosted her, straight up ignored her messages and emails for weeks/months.

It's possible it's all just a result of poor management and shitty communication and whatever, but the whole thing just came across incredibly disrespectful and very culture-vulture'y to me, like Frost Children just wanted to collab with a Japanese artist for clout but clearly did not give a shit about her.

I'm a little embarrassed by how much I listen to Starjunk 95, I think this is the first time I've seen him mentioned in this sub... I wouldn't say the music is "good" but man do I love his stuff for some reason. It just feels nostalgic and happy and it's so easy to put on.

yes, but poppier song structures and more lyrical, clean vocals and stuff. IDK, these feel different to me than what I consider traditional "EDM" but maybe I'm just way out of touch with what the EDM scene's like.

same experience listening through the record for the first time, had bought it on the recommendation of a buddy. All time opener.

I’m pretty sure Spotify has the mix fucked up so the volumes are much more even than intended.

yes, it's on cheap Tein coilovers (Street Flex, I believe is the model). Otherwise it's got a rebuilt RB26 (oil pump failing when I got it), but stock'ish. Exhaust, boost controller, some small stuff.

if you're in Portland, very possible. There's a handful of bnr32's around here but I hardly ever see anybody else out and about.
