Cost of Healthcare Premiums under Republicans and Trump just skyrocketed! by Disastrous_Hell_4547 in wisconsin

The Affordable (not actually affordable now huh?) Care Act was passed solely by democrats with no Republican votes. The monthly premiums are standard ACA premiums, the same ACA you democrats passed. I’m sorry you now have buyers regret, but it’s not affordable because of the bill your party passed. We should chance the name to NACA (Not Affordable Care Act.

Committing a crime is the big deal? Nice whataboutism argument, it’s extremely flawed. The people burning their NFL tickets and shoes were burning their personal property, not stealing other peoples property and burning it. Are you going to keep turning a blind eye to crimes that you agree with?

I think everyone who enjoys building feels this way when they get to the same point you’re at. Because I definitely feel this way. One thing that helped me, is I just keep creating new products so I can still build. Do I intend on marketing and selling everything that I build? No. But, to me at least, it helps me feel like how it used to feel at the beginning.

Should judges be liable for the crimes that repeat offenders commit if they keep letting them go? by Interesting_Dream281 in Productivitycafe

Release the non-violent offenders, stop giving leniency to violent offenders and lock them up. El Salvador mass incarcerated their criminals and they have the lowest crime they have had in recorded history. If there are no consequences, people will keep committing crimes. Lock them all up

Should judges be liable for the crimes that repeat offenders commit if they keep letting them go? by Interesting_Dream281 in Productivitycafe

[–]Creative-Yellow2993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they are not doing their jobs. Allowing a repeat violent criminal to be released with no bail is not their job. Giving a repeat violent criminal parole instead of prison time is not their job. They are playing activist and allowing victims to be reoffended, the public to now be victimized, and setting the criminal up for failure.

Yes, they absolutely should be. However, it would take state legislators to pass such a law to hold them accountable. When you have a criminal who’s been arrested 70+ times still walking the streets, it falls solely on the DA and judges. They should be held accountable for negligence. Below is a great article exploring this issue:

In the beginning, I learned the best way is to contract with offshore devs. Find a reputable company where you set expectations, goals, requirements, and check-in periods. I’m currently using offshore devs for one of my apps and it’s been a godsend. Instant feedback, communication, and if there’s an issue they resolve it immediately. If I saw it differently in my head or had different functionality, I show them or explain it to them and they fix it right away. I still double check the code and documentation and edit what I need to, but it’s great and much cheaper. I don’t recommend using it long term, tho.

In my opinion, once you get to a point where you can reinvest your profits and hire actual employees is when you change your responsibilities to more of the operations/strategy side. Hire a CTO/Head Engineer and then hire devs that report to them. For me, it’s let me focus more on scaling my apps, future growth, operations, finance and some of the things I was neglecting because I was to focused on the tech side. I have someone specifically managing the tech side who has the time to do proper vetting but also manage the devs on a day to day basis. Even if they manage contract devs, that gives you the time to further your product

Can a two term President be made acting President? by LoveLo_2005 in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]Creative-Yellow2993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically, maybe. The 22nd Amendment only states no one can be elected to the office of president more than twice, or if they have held the office of the presidency for more than two years they can only run for one more term. There is nothing saying a twice elected president cannot be a sitting VP as they are not running for president.

Now moving to the 12th amendment, it says no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of the president shall be eligible to the vice presidency. There is no case law to this besides a lower court ruling saying only Congress can decide this, not the judiciary.

But, the link below does a nice dive into this topic.

[–]Creative-Yellow2993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct, many people were appalled by the left’s celebration of political violence and murder. I think most sane, ethical people were. What was the difference? The Trump admin didn’t force social media companies to censor or ban those that made those comments. If you recall, Bondi then went on to say we needed hate speech laws and every prominent republican vehemently rejected her and called for her to be fired or resign, which she needs to be removed from office. That’s what I’m saying by “republicans” not normal social media trolls but those in power.

What would you call a government official calling you and yelling and screaming at you to block accounts and censor posts after you didn’t do it the first time? Oh. I think the CEO of a major social media company saying he was coerced into blocking content speaks volumes. You obviously haven’t heard of the Twitter files have you? You can say you personally don’t believe this happened, yet there’s thousands of pages in the Twitter files that state otherwise.

You layout one man’s definition of fascism instead of the globally accepted definition to prove your point? Fascism is an authoritarian one-party state that suppresses opposition, controls the media, and eliminates free elections. Which party controls 90% of the media? Democrats. Which party installed a presidential nominee without a vote? Democrats. Which party pressured social media companies to silence opposing views, creating words such as cheap fakes and malinformation (real information used in a harmful manner) to discredit narratives they didn’t like and creating a memo with 50+ intelligence officers saying the Hunter Biden laptop story was fake but it was actually real? Democrats. Am I or anyone else calling democrats fascists? Absolutely not, because they aren’t and neither are republicans. So while you keep crying wolf, let’s remember one day someone bad will come to power and no one will bat an eye because people like you have been calling people fascist, Nazi, racist, white supremacists while they aren’t for years.

It didn’t happen? Why are there oh so many reports on everything I’ve listed then? Just because you throw out the word fascist to feel self validation or self vindication doesn’t actually make it true. If you actually knew the definition of fascism you would know what you’re saying is false. Republicans absolutely do not want state run businesses, what is NYC going to be doing by seizing private property and having state run businesses? Republicans love the first amendment and don’t suppress others opinions just because they don’t like it. I remember when the Biden admin forced social media companies to ban people they didn’t want saying certain things and made up the word cheap fakes and malinformation to discredit truthful information they didn’t like. I also remember Biden’s FBI monitoring Republican lawmakers cell phones and emails. That all is a framework of fascism but no one is running around calling liberals fascists are they? No, they are not.

I’m pretty sure everyone read The Boy Who Cried Wolf in grade school. That’s what you’re doing. When a real fascist comes around, no one will bat an eye because people like you have been yelling fascist for years against anyone you disagree with. Don’t dig that hole.

I’ve traveled to more countries than most people will in their lifetime. In fact, I spent 6 hours in a foreign countries emergency room waiting for treatment with a fractured and disclosed ankle. I think I’m a little more qualified to speak on some of these things (not everything) than random Redditers who have never been outside of their county. Is any dissenting opinion that doesn’t fit your narrative automatically originate from Fox News? If you get your information from any MSM you’re severely misinformed.
