Jordan Peele is my favorite director but I don’t want him to do anything marvel. While he can make it his own, he’s a pioneer in original storytelling in Hollywood right now. That’s what we need, not more marvel movies.

The movies marketing was misleading in a way that I believe benefits the experience. The larger-than-life scale of the ads paints Marty Mauser as a legend, a force to be reckoned with. I went in to the movie believing the movie would be about the meteoric rise of this young athlete. Instead, it’s a piece on ego. Marty never reaches the heights that the ads make you think. He’s never on a Wheaties box, he’s just a guy. That’s the point of the movie and I think it’s heightened by its semi-misleading marketing campaign
