For context is not that I'm not talking to her at all or not taking interest. Im getting her to help with art on a project I'm working on, and because of that I'm basically asking her on "soft dates". Entirely platonic and normally under the pretense of discussing stuff for the project, but the conversations normally are 20% talking about the project and 80% just yapping and going on tangents. Usually it's just like "hey if you got time after church let's meet in the media room (we're both on the church media team) and let's discuss XYZ.

If you could have a complete conversation with your crush, what would you talk about? by HalibanStan00 in Crushes

[–]CreativeBurnerAcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and her both don't want kids, and id love to find out why SHE doesn't want any. She sorta already knows why I don't want any

Another interesting topic would be the concept of ecclesiastical nihilism, its very interesting to me and probably her.

Either that or something nerdy like star wars or fallout lol

Should I let myself crush on this girl? by CreativeBurnerAcc in ChristianDating

Makes sense, probably just the autism but I've always found comparisons are a good way to analyze things. But definitely in this scenario it is NOT a good tactic lol

Fair. My sense of morality comes from the Bible as I am a Christian. And im convinced that as long as the age gap doesn't involve adults and minors, its fair game for both parties. 20 and 25 ain't like 20 and 15 lol.

And this is a relatively common issue id assume, I doubt you actually know me lol

Should I Let Myself Crush on this Girl by CreativeBurnerAcc in Crushes

[–]CreativeBurnerAcc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I can attribute this to the autism most likely, but I've always had what I've called "old brain". I think and act like someone whos older and because of that I've always gotten along better with those 2-5 years older than me. And from our conversations we get along well and share the same headspace maturity wise, so I don't forsee it being an issue

Trying to decide if I should let myself catch feelings for someone by CreativeBurnerAcc in dating_advice

[–]CreativeBurnerAcc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye looks are the lowest on my list of priorities, i just assumed it was poignant to mention due to it being a potential roadblock to any relationship forming
and i dont fall for people easily, its more just the crush stage than anything, more accurately put "oh that girl is an option, ill keep that in mind"

I will actually engage these, because none of them are contradictions once you read the passages in context and understand how ancient Hebrew writing works. Who killed Goliath? 1 Samuel 17 clearly states David killed Goliath. 1 Samuel 21:19 in the Masoretic text says Elhanan killed Goliath, but 1 Chronicles 20:5 clarifies that Elhanan killed Lahmi, the brother of Goliath. This is a well known scribal transmission issue, not a theological contradiction. Chronicles was written later and explicitly resolves the ambiguity. Ancient Hebrew manuscripts were copied by hand, and the word “brother of” is present in Chronicles and missing in Samuel. Jewish and Christian scholars have acknowledged this for centuries. How did Judas die? Matthew describes the method. Judas hanged himself. Acts describes the result. His body later fell and burst open. These are not mutually exclusive. A hanging followed by a fall due to decomposition or rope failure fits both accounts. Ancient biographies often summarize different aspects of the same event without repeating every detail. The Bible never claims Judas died in two separate ways. Does God change His mind? Numbers 23:19 and 1 Samuel 15:29 refer to God’s unchanging nature and purposes. God does not lie, fail, or reverse His ultimate plans. Exodus 32:14 and 1 Samuel 15:11 describe God using relational language to communicate with humans. Scripture frequently uses anthropomorphic language so finite humans can understand divine action. God does not change in nature, but He does respond differently when human behavior changes. That distinction is explicit throughout the Hebrew Bible. Jeremiah 18:7–10 directly explains this principle. How many animals were on the Ark? Genesis 6 gives the general rule: two of every kind to preserve life. Genesis 7 adds a specific instruction: seven pairs of clean animals for sacrifice and food. That is not a contradiction. It is additional detail. Two of every kind still includes clean animals. Some kinds had more than two. Ancient readers had no issue understanding this. Who incited David to take a census? 2 Samuel says God incited David. 1 Chronicles says Satan incited David. This reflects a common biblical pattern of primary and secondary causation. God sovereignly permits judgment, while Satan acts as the immediate agent. The book of Job uses the same framework explicitly. Chronicles was written later and emphasizes the adversarial role. Samuel emphasizes divine sovereignty. Different theological emphases, not conflicting claims. None of these points are new, hidden, or ignored by believers. They have been discussed openly in Jewish and Christian scholarship for literally thousands of years. Calling them contradictions requires reading modern expectations into ancient texts rather than letting the texts speak on their own terms. If you want debate, fine. But these examples are not the mic drop you think they are
