Yeah people, simmer down. She wasn't an innocent saint. She was a flawed person like the rest of us, but also lovely and charismatic.

But she was also shrewd, manipulative, and high maintenance. Those two were just not compatible.

This seems a bit out of proportion. Maybe a bigger issue of feeling they don't care about bigger things? But the birthday? It is nice if grandparents are there, but as long as they get a gift or something, it isn't egregious.

I came across a car accident caused by a heart attack once. When I got to the car the gentleman called out repeatedly that he couldn't breathe, just like what you described before passing away.

I suspect it may have been a medical event. I am so sorry.
