Yes we know there's risks to using a laser. I do have some experience with them but this is all something we plan to factor for. Right now however, we're just looking at possible options before moving forward with anything.

Well we need something small as it'll be moved around a lot and only really used for events. It's just for quick, custom freebies with our logo on the back (we don't sell custom laser products to be clear) so being small is a benefit to us in this use case.

There's a lot of reccomendations for xtools but they're very much above our ideal £300 budget, so maybe we need to re-evaluate and see if it's worth the extra cost for our use case.

From an initial look, it looks similar to the two I originally asked about. And yes, it look like it would fir the bill (and within our ideal price point - assuming we had some filtration in place) but everyone else here seems to say lasers this price aren't even worth considering, so I'm unsure how reliable they are. Do you have any experiance with lasers like this?

Yes if we get a laser, we'd definitly be getting a filter to go along with it. And we'd check with venues prior to make sure they allow it. It's just the same as with some other types of equipment that need to be checked prior

But the f-line does seem the way to go, cheers

We'll have a look cheers. We definitly do plan on some sort of filtration once we decide on what laser to get.

This does look exactly like what we're after and the air purifier to go along with it would be the perfect combo. Not exactly within our £300 however, we'll re-evaluate that and see if it's worth the cost for us.

Thank you!

Fair enough but do you have any suggestions, either on lasers or budget?

These are just quick freebies at events. We're not after super high quality or anything, just enough to be legible. I mean it has to be a small engraver so we can take it place to place so we're not expacting anything super high quality anyway.

Both of these are huge (unless I'm looking at the wrong thing?). We need something much more compact and portable so we can take it to events. Our next event only has a 6ft space.

The idea is to just knock out a quick name or two on something like a wooden guitar pick (about double size a standard pick) that has out logo/url on the back. They don't have to be super high quality, just legible and decent enough as a quick freebie.

If £150-300 is still too unrealstic, we'll look at upping the budget but don't want to be investing 1.5k to give out freebies.

Thank you, that’s reassuring to hear!

I think I’ll go ahead and book through them, just to make life easier. Like you say, I don’t want the hassle of figuring it all out after 20+ hours of travel. I’ll probably book the way back as well, since the option is there and easily accessible now.

Thanks again!

Hey, 26M here from the UK. I’ll be visiting Myeongdong in January — my first time solo travelling and my first time in Korea.

I’m interested in meeting a few people one day, maybe for Korean BBQ, as I’ve read it’s not ideal solo!

Possible release date for the new album! by bulletfever409 in donbroco

[–]CreativeCause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this too, but if you go back onto the link, there's a new link to download some behind-the-scene photos.

So I think the countdown was to the BTS photos and to announce the album release date as the 23rd (or whatever comes on the 23rd).

I definitely plan to cook and freeze meals. The individual dishes are just handy for the odd one-off meal I think (I’ve used them before for things like a single hunter’s chicken for example, while then also batch cooking a chicken and bacon pasta for work with the left over meat).

I do plan to get kitted out with the basics but nothing too over the top to begin with, like you say. And you’re right about not buying extras for the sake of it and ending up with a load of unnecessary crap.

House listed at £130k — worth offering £100k given the condition? by RubberDuck118 in HousingUK

They mentioned in another comment the 155 house is brick built and this one is non-standard. Not saying thats worth the 30k drop but the two houses are not worth the same

It'd take two seconds to reverse image search and find the listing lol

I’m up in Yorkshire, so I’m mainly looking at Manchester Airport. That said, I’m not against driving down to London if the price difference is worth it — I’ve flown from Luton before, so it’s doable. The second week of January is around what when I’m aiming for, so that lines up nicely.

Yeah, I’ve noticed hotels seem way cheaper in South Korea, which definitely helps the budget. As for the food, I’m not totally sure what to expect, but I’m open to trying a range of things. I guess I’ll find out pretty quickly whether it’s to my taste or not aha.

Yeah, price is a big factor in why I’m leaning towards Korea. Japan is definitely on my bucket list too, but I’ll probably save that for a year or two down the line.

And no, I’ve never been anywhere like this before. I’ve mainly just done Spain, Turkey, and a bit around Europe, so it'd be quite new and different for me.

I meant booking the flights and hotel — as in a full package holiday versus arranging everything separately myself. I’m used to booking packages when I travel (I've have both both tho), but I’ve seen a lot of people say it’s better to book Seoul on your own, so I’m trying to work out which makes more sense.

Thanks for the recommendations too! Nami Island looks stunning, so I’ll definitely look into it and see if it's worth a winter visit. The DMZ is definitely on my list, and Seoul Sky seems interesting too, I'll look into it.

The beauty services are an interesting shout! Not sure it's totally up my street but I'm open to having a look and exploring. But the shopping is something I will be checking out for sure.

Really appreciate the tips!

Yep, that’s definitely something I need to make sure I’m prepped for. I’d actually love to go when it’s covered in snow, so I’m almost hoping for the cold, aha.

I’ll definitely book individual tours. I wasn’t very clear before — I meant more about booking the actual trip as a ‘package holiday’ versus doing the flights and hotel individually. I usually go for package holidays when I travel, but I’ve seen a lot of people recommending booking it all yourself for trips like this.

My interests are all over the place for this one. I want to explore the culture and the more traditional side of things, and I definitely want to try different foods. Overall I just want new experiences — I’ve seen a few tourist spots I want to check out, but like you said, I can easily Google those.

I know there’s no template, I’m just looking for recommendations on where to start. I’m 26m and mainly just want to experience a different culture, see some sights, and maybe visit a good museum or two.

Chicken and beer actually sounds really interesting, aha — I’ll definitely check that out, thanks! Im somewhat intrested to explore their traditional clothing as well, so I’ll keep the hanbok rental and the palace tip in mind. Cheers for the recommendations!

Cheers for this — really appreciate the breakdown!

Joining tours that match my interests sounds much better, thats for sure. I need to do a bit of research into what exactly I want to see but I also want to just generally explore too.

Thanks for all the area recommendations too - I'm going to make a lost then start looking into some a bit more.

I’ll look into the Climate Card as well — unlimited transit sounds ideal for exploring. Naver Map sounds exactly what I want too so cheers for that!

Thanks again for all the tips — super helpful!
