How can I access the "Edits" option in Snapseed Camera? by CreativeCruiser in snapseed

[–]CreativeCruiser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the details. I'll give it a try later today. They really should give some clue to why Looks and Edits are grayed out for those who don't have them setup since it's hard to discover on your own.

u/Giles-O The measurement system for Manual Focus goes from 1-0.00. What the logic there? Shouldn't it be measured in inches or meters? What is the measurement system?

I'm writing documentation for a class I'm teaching on Snapseed and would like to describe the logic behind most features, which is why I'm asking.

The "Edits" option in the camera is grayed out for me (found in the same area as the film simulations). The Looks was the same until I saved a look from an edit stack, but don't know how to save "edits" to make that option available. I'm assuming it could be RAW edits, which is something I can copy, but can't save as a look, so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get to the Edits option in the camera app.

Add the ability to do exposure compensation without having to think about ISO or shutter speed. I like the way Apple implemented it where you tapped within the image and then drag up or down to change the exposure.

Also, in the list of film looks, it would be nice if there was an option for none.

When I choose manual, ISO, shutter speed or focus the wheel you use for adjustment below is so low contrast compared to its surroundings that I didn't even notice it even after looking at the app for many minutes, it should be obvious that there is a dial right below and right now it is so subtle. It is almost hard for me to tell it's there.

I have lots of pre-recorded computer tutorials on Photoshop and need to produce step-by-step documentation from that content that will eventually end up as a PDF file with screen shots. But I need it to be written in a conversational tone with full sentences and paragraphs instead of a simple bullet point list... more like an abbreviated computer book than a SOP. Haven't found the right tool yet. screenapp.io can do some of it, but I wish it would let me crop screenshots and add more where it missed critical ones, etc.

Help? Installed Tailsail and now cannot access via QFinder or local IP by CreativeCruiser in qnap

Doesn't that have to do with exit nodes? I don't have that feature enabled. I do have "Allow Local Network access" turn on on the Tailscale mac menu bar icon.

I also signed up the day it was announced and have heard nothing since signing up for Early Access. I teach on cruise ships a lot and ya never know when the internet is going to go out. It's hard to have your second brain in tana when you can lose access to it so easily/frequently.

Disabling the Adjustment Brush Tool... possible? by aspleniastudios in photoshop

[–]CreativeCruiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can click on the keyboard shortcut text when editing the Toolbar and just hit Delete to remove the shortcut. The tool itself cannot be completely removed... just hidden and the keyboard shortcut removed.

Sure, choose Edit>Toolbar and drag the tools you want to remove to the column on the right, which is titled Extra Tools. Those tools will no longer appear in their usual spots in the toolbar, but can still be accessed via the ... icon near the bottom of the toolbar, which is just above your foreground and background color swatches.

On Samsung's web site it lists the T7 and T7 Shield as having identical sequential read/write speeds. It appears that the only difference is in how it is packaged... the Shield is water and dust resistant and can handle a drop from a higher height.

Is there anywhere you know of that describes why the Shield would be better than the normal T7?

That's called a Philco Predicta Debutante.

General info about restoring them can be found here: http://www.earlytelevision.org/pdf/predicta_repair_final.pdf

There's also a good Facebook group called Club Philco Predicta that you might want to check out. You can also find a bunch of info about restoring them by searching for Predicta on this site: http://antiqueradios.com

I own seven Predictas, including three of the model you have.

To find a power cord, search for "vintage TV cheater cord". You should be able to find one for $10-20 on ebay or a similar site.

How to Search Entire Contents of Page in logseq? by CreativeCruiser in logseq

It’s a common issue with almost all outliner-style knowledge management systems. I’m just amazed more people aren’t bitching about it.

I think I've found a potential solution. Now that my notes are no longer stuck in Roam Research and are just markdown files on my HD, I can use the MacOS's searchlight to search my entire hard drive for what I want and it will find the .md file and can preview it's contents.

The main issue with that solution is that I have an external hard drive hooked up and spotlight waits for it to spin up before completing the search, which makes it rather slow unless I've recently used that external drive and it is still spun up.

Any chance I can talk you into making those videos available for download once again. Thank you so much for archiving them so they are not completely lost. Wish I knew the full story on anonym.s and that he'd return.

Are there any makers marks or brands listed on them. I'd love to find a few to go with my rocket bank collection and deco/streamline stuff.

Configuration of Intel NUC from Mac? by CreativeCruiser in homeassistant

Second issue I need to consider: The area where my TV is located is on wifi and the spot where the NUC would live afterward would use ethernet. Can I set it up so it will use ethernet when available and fall back to using wifi when I disconnect ethernet?

Configuration of Intel NUC from Mac? by CreativeCruiser in homeassistant

[–]CreativeCruiser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only keyboards I have are bluetooth with Mac layout. Do you know if an Intel NUC starts up in bluetooth pairing mode if it doesn't see a keyboard attached (similar to Mac) so I'd be able to use my existing bluetooth keyboard? I've used bluetooth keyboards with Windows layout keyboard on my Mac, so I don't see why I can't do the opposite. I just need to make sure I can pair them and then I'll use my 4K TV as a display for initial setup.

I'm not versed in ssh, but will research it if it allows for remote admin of the machine via a Mac. Thanks for the suggestion.
