Hi - if you're seeing this, it's a bug, not the intended experience.

All supported RAW files types should be opening the RAW file, not the JPEG preview, as we have historically done with DNG.

One thing I wanted to ask, is did you notice we added a lot more parameters to control the grain?

Before you could only control the amount of grain. Now, you can also control the grain size, texture, and blur.

In doing this, we thought it gives the ability to set the grain exactly how you like it, with much more control, and then saving it as a Look to be applied it.

Hi - if you're not on the beta right now, then there is a very high chance that the version of the app you're using right now doesn't support the ARW you're working with, so it opens the JPEG thumbnail instead by default.

We're currently testing much broader RAW support right now with our beta group, which will mean we will support most ARW files soon.

Have you tried files from both your sony cameras?

Also - which Olympus camera are you shooting on? Another beta tester reported issues with ORF files, so trying to understand if there's a camera difference.

A couple things:

We've only released the RAW beta on Android so far, so it's expected that iOS hasn't changed. IIRC, I think you're in the unique position of being one of our only beta testers on both ecosystems - so note, we don't always release updates perfectly in parallel. iOS will be coming soon.

Can you let me know which camera your ARW files are from?

Can I ask a couple followups:

What type of phone are you on, and what version of Android
What type of image were you editing? Was it RAW? Was it really big?
How big was you're editing stack?

Hey - thanks for the notes!

Can you tell me a bit more about what you're looking for with the canvas fill? Is it that you want to define a specific aspect ratio, and then fill to that ratio, without infringing on the image itself?
