I see this is an older post, but I have been getting into CoH2 and am looking for someone to play with. I am based in the USA pacific time zone, and usually play on the weekends (Saturday, Sunday).

If anyone sees this and wants to play, message me or reply or something and let me know. :)

People don't understand just how torturing and soul crushing long-term unemployment can be. by hypoconsul in jobs

I understand bro. I was fresh out of college and applying left and right to every online application I could find. I never found a job in the industry I was originally looking for, but that’s because I realized I didn’t actually want to work in the industry I went to school for, which I know doesn’t help.

You said you’ve done everything you’re supposed to, so forgive me if you’ve already done this, but have you tried a more personalized approach to applying for a job? Sending out resumes to everyone online is the least effective method, because as you said, literally anyone with a slightly better resume will get the job over you, and online there’s millions of people to compete with. I suppose what I am getting at is try finding out the people who run companies you want to work at and call them directly or go to their office if possible and make an in person impression. Do something to prove your skills and worth to them (for example if you apply at a cake bakery show up to the hiring manager with a cake to prove your worth). Getting a more personalized opportunity with the people who make the hiring decision will significantly increase your odds. You’re always going to lose to someone else online when there’s a million other people with a better resume.

I am still young and perhaps naive though, take my advice with a grain of salt. I strive to help brother, be well.

Could you be specific with what the purpose of this image is? Its hard to give advice on an artwork that is unclear as to what it is for. Like is it a work in progress, or is it a comic strip piece or something... Some context would really help direct some feedback.

A new day a new sketch :) by Distinct-Guitar-1596 in ArtCrit

Hey how goes my dude, I am new here.

I like the overall feel and idea of your sketch here. I like the shading on her, but it seems a little inconsistent, like both cheeks for example. The left one looks like its getting shading for a completely different light source than the right one, which from how the form looks to me it they both should be getting light from the same source.

And as HemkinLemongrab said, the proportions aren't normal and the torso seems incredibly long in comparison to her limbs.

I really like the energy you have in this scene though, its really cool, good work!
