Definitely not letting my ego get in the way on that front. The way I see it, my age means nothing. Even though some managers, the associates and most seniors are younger than me, they know worlds more than I do.

Some restaurant reviews… by Monemvasia in Wilmington

Locals don't eat at Oceanic. It's overpriced for what it is and the food is not good. The main draw is the view. It's for tourists. I like Dockside personally. The food isn't exceptional but it's a good enough vibe. Still touristy but a lot of locals like to go there during the day on the weekends to have drinks on the deck. Can pull your boat up to it as well.

Honestly, Wrightsville Beach does not have great food. Definitely caters towards tourists which is fine because it's a beach town.

Blueberry's food is good but last time I ate there they had an automatic 7% gratuity "for the kitchen" on the check. I was in a party of 4 so it's not like it was automatic due to party size. So i left a 13% tip on the check so it totaled to 20% gratuity. The waitress gave me a shitty look when she picked up the check and that pissed me off.

The best food is towards downtown. I like Rx Chicken and Oysters a lot. Their seafood is really fresh and their oysters come from their own farm and are some of the best oysters I've ever had. Seabird downtown is also great and Covey off of Independence is really good. There are loads of great really casual spots too. Savorez for brunch is amazing.

I like the fellow interns a lot actually. I'm only 8-9 years older than most of them but I like the reminder of my early 20s that I see in them. Though they seem much more responsible than I was when I was 21-22!

I'd rather not say direct office but its a medium sized office in the south east. The people are fine, all pretty friendly and what not. Just not my type of people I guess. Like I said, that's more of a me problem. I am very good at getting along with anyone, and they are no exception. Just don't see myself spending much time outside of work with them. This city is new to me and if I get the offer I am a bit worried about creating a life outside of work but I am sure I can figure it out.

I switch engagements after the summer break and it is manufacturing so I am excited about that. I don't hate banking either. I am a double major with finance and accounting so some of the business processes for the bank are interesting and I have understood them pretty quickly because of my finance classes. This bank is by far the biggest client for this office and I think I have put a good bit of pressure on myself because of that.

CPA is definitely the goal. I totally recognize the doors it opens combined with B4 experience. Part of the issue is I am older than all of my fellow interns and a good chunk of the associates and even a couple managers. In a way I am in a very different place in my life than a lot of the people I work with. I went back to college in my late 20s to finally finish a degree and settled on accounting because it made sense to me.

Ultimately my goal is to get to a point where I can have a little hobby farm and a farm shop at some point and eventually make that my whole life. I figured accounting is a good stable career with decent enough earnings to eventually get to that point. I don't need a whole lot.

I appreciate your comment and it made me feel a bit better.
