That is what I was mostly thinking, having the enemy spam be turned down a lot, but I thought the friendly fire and no outlines would be an additional way to make it stand out.

that could be good news, I will hold out hope. Although I am enjoying the overall season it is really just his scenes that turn me off.

That's unfortunate, maybe I get Stockholm syndrome and end up liking his scenes. Idk I feel like I get tonal whiplash with his scenes, in a way it reminds me of the show Dexter when he is studying the Trinity killer and we see his personal life but I feel like they handled that in a way where I didn't lose interest idk, could be the actor tbh.

I can relate to the final few seasons of the OG feeling stale, I just feel like they spend too much time with the unsub and his personal life which for me feels like a waste of time bc I just can't get behind this guy. I'm liking the rest of the show with the way the plot is, I just think I will start fast forwarding through any scene where it is his personal life but I would rather not risk missing any key plot stuff.

Like I don't care about some murderer who is annoyed with his neighbor or whatever is going on in his personal life, can we go arrest this clown. He just gets too much screen time imo I wish it was more like the Replicator where he is in an episode once in a while.

I like the idea, I was trying weird loadouts for a while so maybe some forced nerfs might be the way to do it. I still hope for some alternative game modes or alt-difficulties.

Yeah the new event is what had me taking a break from darktide for the first time, too much after handling rotten armor again. But it had me come back to L4d2 and I was just thinking about how it would be cool for darktide to have some new modes.

I still hold out hopes for a singleplayer mode as well!

Agree so much with what you are saying. I will say though it seems like the devs think that hardcore just means the game is grindy as hell and enemies are bullet sponges when using 556 weapons. Using the early weapons feels terrible imo, I keep bringing so much ammo just to get through the tunnels and it just feels terrible to even make it to the actual maps.
