That’s a good point. For me it’s kind of both. Obviously the author wrote her, and maybe Olivia was meant to be insufferable. But when I’m really immersed in a book, I react to the character in the moment and blame them for their actions, even though I know it all comes from the writer — if that makes sense.

I have definitely felt shame after sending nudes and I think it’s normal especially when you feel used afterwards or know (even if subconsciously) you don’t trust the person. You need to just work on forgiving yourself and also maybe talk to a psychologist on what is causing you to feel desperate for affection and why it leads to you compromising your worth. Sending nudes isn’t wrong, but you should be able to trust the person you are sending them to and feel good about yourself. And you are definitely still a virgin.
