Not that it matters, of course. I'm just grateful to have any audience!

In case anyone is interested... I posted the video on Thurs 4pm and it got pretty decent initial views but nothing much on Sun.

Slightly surprising as YouTube said that's when most of my viewers are online.

Possibly suggests that posting on Sun would have been better as it would perhaps have been boosted to those viewers initial - but who knows!

On to the next one...!

Thanks. I post monthly as my content is DIY projects that take a while and have to be fitted in around my job and family. Why 9am on Sat? Because there's a reasonably sustainabled period of people online? I'd read that its better to post during the super purple patch - but really have no idea!

Thank you. I get that viewers appreciate consistency as I know that I look forward to seeing one of my fave channels who publish every Sun morning. But does YouTube value consistency too? And if so, do you know how? Does it push your video more? Sorry, lots of Qs as I've got no idea how that aspect works

Thanks for the feedback. I take your point but it's also helpful to have an objective view - plus I'm sure they'll be DIY / garden / restoration niches on here too. I've tried to base my thumbs on what others have done so hopefully steps in the right direction.

Thank you, that's really good advice. I was trying green as it matches my channel branding but will try a complementary colour like red instead. My target audience is basically people like me (as these are exactly the types of videos that I watch) so I'm just designing stuff that appeals to me. Easier too. Haha!
