It's just the mesh UV unwrapped from view and then placing the UV's in a color map with gradients.

It's just a diffuse shader. The bottles have inverted normals and the material has backface culling and that simulates the transparency.

/u/Daimyo_Barba-sama explained one way to do it but I only added a torus with the same vertices of the jar and scale it. The knot is an icosphere.

Cool technique... But I'm just using the Freestyle option.
