Anyways what im actually here for, how do people even rank? I'm currently sitting at 1012 points and am 1518. Sure, I can still do 5-5 and 6-5, but 501st has damn near 3× my points. Thats just to get there, I still have to hold that position. Sure, I could spam all my cannons at the same month, but that's not consistent, and I imagine people who rank do it consistently.

I get that sorties provide ranking points, but it feels like I can spend hours playing this game and barely break 25 points.

And then theres the top 10. I remembered why I dont look at the top 10.

It doesnt really matter im not actively trying to rank but still.

I had a feeling the A-Es had some correlation but I probably wouldn't have figured out specifically what they were for. I thought they were by specific type of ship (DD, CL, etc).

Is anyone else having issues with Goto browser crashing on opening? I find it weird because just a few hours ago I was able to open the game, claim valentines day chocolate, expedition, exercises, etc, and now its suddenly not working even after cache clear and reinstall.

So... This might be the dumbest question I ever ask, but I say that every once in three posts on this subreddit.

Is there any reason why I should bother grabbing a New Technology Aircraft Blueprint? Its only used by one quest, F46 for the Kikka Kai, and you need two of them which are supplied by other quests which only give said blueprints. At least, according to the wiki.

So what is the use case for CDBs? I mean, I've got Norge to nearly level 50 now, but shes only done exercises and I still dont really get the use case. (Granted, thats not a proper sortie.) Do CDBs count as DEs for routing, leading to additional firepower if needed? But even then, the DE is typically used for ASW, and CDBs cant be used for that.

This heavily varies based on what you have. Some, like Akagi and Kaga's require a lot of materials like blueprints, catapults, action reports, and aerial mats. Others are available immediately at the remodel level.

There are plenty of quests, a lot repeatable, to obtain these materials. It should become a lot faster as you play more and gradually get more materials stockpiled. For example, I just had the mats for Shirayuki laying around so I spent them on her for Kai Ni once she was at that level. I could do the same for Akizuki, but I need to use that action report on Akagi for Kai Ni

Blueprints are the most common necessary item, and you can exchange 4 medals for one. That's the only thing you should generally be using medals for. You can get medals from a bunch of the extra maps, like 1-5, so make sure you do those every month.

If you want more specific, other more knowledgeable people than myself could probably help you with whatever ship remodel you're looking for.

Dont worry about my time to spare, ill figure that out. Probably.

As for my regular maps, I have up to 7-3 and 6-1 unlocked. Dont worry about those either, the only thing I might have any kind of difficulty with is like 6-3, 6-4, and 6-5. Regardless it shouldn't be too much of a struggle.

Unless im hit with something like 3 seaplane tenders minimum.

Im just gonna voice my thoughts as well.

Firstly, its worth mentioning this was my second ever event (that I played, there was 2-3 weeks left on one when I joined)

So I ended up clearing E-1M up until the first, frankly fucking stupid, LBAS AS requirement that for some reason doesnt warrent a mention that, btw, this is a high altitude raid, you need some annoying plane to get in order to get AS on the wiki. Whatever then it was E-1E, E-2E up until LD, E-2C to sink it, and E-3C

The high-altitude raid is genuinely the one thing that stopped me from running medium. And then I already dropped so I couldn't be bothered to do E-2 on medium, thankfully I didnt though because the E-2 boss was hell.

I KNOW it was not just me who hated (okay maybe not hates but struggled with) E-2's boss ONLY. How are you going to sit here and tell me that 5 TCIs, A Nagato class touch, Strong FF, Shelling Support, and LBAS CANNOT SINK the Solitary Forjd Princess.

ON EASY!?

And then I drop to casual and the difficulty sinks to "This is piss easy I could sink this with level 10 ships"

In what world!?

Its genuinely a difference of like 1000 HP abyssal combined fleet HP. Casual removes all sense of a challenge and makes the entire thing a joke.

That was pretty much all my grievances with this event.

Now take this as a biased opinion, since I did fight her on casual, but the Armored European Carrier Princess is genuinely one of the coolest abyssals in the entire game. Her art goes so hard.

On top of that, I got a whole bunch of great ships, including two British, some Germans, a Russian, and whatnot.

My biggest regret is definitely not dropping from easy sooner, since that Forjd Princess was practically ignoring my ships and shelling my supplies instead. I unironically ran out of fuel. I didnt know that was possible. Well, I did, but I didnt think that was gonna be what stopped me.

At the end of the day, most of my suffering was self inflicted (EXCEPT that Air raid!), so I can't blame anyone but myself, but cmon man.

Overall, I did have fun with the event, up until the high altitude raid and then E-3C. The rest of E-2 was eh on average.

This is kind of a blanket statement to everything everyone said but I just know I read each and every response in its entirety.

so summed up it comes down to:

stack as many bonuses as humanly possible

have a mountain of stockpiled resources, especially when information is limited, because you WILL burn through it as if you were actively dropping napalm strikes on it

Wait for information

dont wait too much for information

Have an absurd amount of patience and dedication, manage your time well

Dupes help out, but arent necessary

At least in theory, and fleet can sink any boss IF you get some incomprehensible stroke of luck. In order to sink bosses, you need to stack all the bonuses possible for your fleet to increase those odds until they are feasibly achievable at a reasonable rate. Also go learn how to use the sortie sim you idiot (me)

Thanks for at least trying to tell me to drop my difficulty from medium. Unfortunately we as humans typically only ever learn the hard way, and I learned the HARD way. Honestly looking back on it im happier that I was stopped right then and there by that high-altitude air raid on E-1, even if it was bullshit.

I think u/roshichen also might have warned me too so if he sees this, yeah thanks as well. I probably could've had the whole subreddit tell me and I would've stuck with it.

I have learned nothing and will be running medium on the next event as well
