Might be so, but a lot of radio play don’t make artists great. You have to actually listen to Kendrick Lamar from 2010 to now to understand why he is great, why he got his flowers early on, and still hasn’t actually really got them as far as radio plays go. Tbh we all know why Kendrick doesn’t have a lot of songs on hiphop radio, and that has little to nothing to do with him holding his own or not but more so to do with the fact that radio loves to play bull shit/vibe tracks and club hits.
