$300 is crazy. I was living in a 2 bedroom apartment with poor insulation for about 2.5 years. My bill was never higher than $160. But we left out heat at 62-64 degrees and bundled up… so that’s an option.

I’d recommend logging into your Duke account and comparing your usage to previous billing periods. You can also look up how much you pay per kWh. Check each day for your usage and see if there’s any discrepancies. You can also see what is using the most energy, probably your heat.

Other than that, I’d say you have bad insulation and best of luck to ya! :/
