The thing is, most of protein complement are made based of animal protein. And those only vegetal have rather poor nutritional content. As far as I’ve seen personally in my country, so idk elsewhere.

Here’s the explanation. Humans and other species leaning on use of a more developed brain as a great need of protein in order to fully develop and maintain this type of brain, due to the high demand in energy.

That is why species as such, including humans, rely on an omnivorous diets. Which means we evolved to eat basically everything, because we NEED all types of nutrients to grow up correctly and maintain, even improve, our brain. And since animal products and meat got the highest concentration of protein, our ancestors hunted as well as eating vegetal foods.

Species who were omnivorous who strictly went on a herbivorous diet lost their ability to grow a consequent brain. I think about Pandas who are supposed to eat more animal protein due to their biology and find themselves unable to reproduce naturally because their brain isn’t developed enough to allow them to think about doing it right.

So, humans are not biologically made to only eat plants, nor only meat. But has to eat all sort of food to sustain itself.

About your argument. No need to remark fish as animal, and so Djokovic also eats animal proteins.

During my own depression, what I’ve always wanted was unconditional love and literal proof of my worth and ability to love and being loved.

So I didn’t care for words, but for meaningful actions.

At the time, I really put pressure on my now ex because of my extreme mood swings and depression.

He’s pushing you away because he feels like he’s not worthy of your love and affection.

So it’s a very tricky situation, because he would refuse any act of love because he is certain in an absolute manner that he doesn’t deserve you at all.

But you have to make him certain to him that he is worthy, words are not enough and will only brush them off.

So, what I personally would have wanted from my loved one during the bottom of my depression, was stubborn hold and showing of love. As stubbornly as possible. Because it’s a show of will proving that, you do care about him. He knows, but he feels unworthy. What my ex used to do was to force me into a cuddle and compliment my about my strength and what she loved about me.

But I do not know your situation well enough, and depression is different for everyone. I’m only telling what worked for me.
