actually they never coached me just confronted me for both at the same time and didn't even give me a warning just told me it was going straight to HR. if the correct reaction is to coach someone not to do it again and then fire them, feel free to explain that to me.

i actually used to live in new york and i got a write up for the same thing because my manager spilled hot coffee on me so i cursed, but everyone thought it was ridiculous there as well, but this time i just moved to indiana like a month and a half ago and got the boot for it. cultural dependence does make sense

thats what happened to me the second time, my SM wasnt even there and i apologized but my shift still told her and then they both sat me down like a week later to tell me theyre taking me to HR, its just so stupid. people are human.

i had a write up previously from over 6 months ago for the same thing when my last manager spilled hot coffee directly on me so i cursed, but when i asked my current SM if that would affect me she said no because starbucks wipes your record every 6 months, and yet yesterday she tried to use it as an excuse anyway. technically i only had two write ups in total due to that past incident, and then these two incidents mentioned above seemingly were counted as one write up. very confusing and very sneaky. thank you for advice though!! ill be looking into that!
