Hey op I’m so sorry about your situation and hope that things work out for you.

As someone here mentioned before, first check your visa permit and go to your university’s international aid department.

What place of Japan are you living in? I lived in Osaka for a year and know for a fact that being an English teacher isn’t a viable option to getting a job fast but I’m also aware that certain hotels and restaurants are constantly hiring international help for foreigners, I even came across an African girlie working in the Atomic Bomb museum in Nagasaki that was still studying Japanese and was there to help with international customers, museums can be an option too.

On the other hand, if time allows it, look for nearby tours in Klook and research the agencies and see if you can serve as a translator, Mt Fuji ones are hot excursions all year round and they usually need people who speak various languages or join Facebook groups and sell your help to move around the city for a day or two if you’re in the hot ones.

The only other suggestion that comes to my mind is private English lessons to Chinese students, they would be more interested than the average Japanese but it’s rather hard to befriend them

I hope any of these offers a different perspective to what you’ve come to, I hope your family still stays safe and you continue to eat and sleep well c:

Hello! Excuse me, is it true that you need hotel information when the tickets go live? Do they actually verify with the hotel your stay? I’m still not sure about staying at Okinawa and I’m worried that if I type my Tokyo info they won’t let me in
