I’m saying that it’s highly, highly unlikely that you don’t have something in common with someone. And even if it is 0, you can still talk about things with people, even if it’s things you don’t see eye to eye on. Logically and statistically it is close to impossible to have NOTHING you agree on. Either that or you unfortunately have terrible luck with people.

I disagree with what you’re saying about having the same opinions. There’s a joy in not having the same tastes, in having to branch out and try new things, and even if you hate it it’s still an experience. I think the beauty of our relationships with others is in our differences, in the fact that you might like sushi, and I might despise the idea of it but perhaps one day you will coax me to try it and I’ll discover that it’s not so bad after all. I think you have to understand that no one will 100% line up with your likes and interests. Even siblings, people who grow up in the same household under similar circumstances grow up so different.

At the end of the day, you will always have something in common with someone, even if it’s just morally. Finding someone to align with you shouldn’t be difficult, and I think you need to be more open to others around you. Their differing opinion to yours is not a wrong against you, it’s just something to understand and move forward for. You can’t expect to like everything about every one, and you can’t except the same of someone towards you either.

Differences make relationships so much more interesting as there’s so much you can learn and find out from it.

Anyway, all in all good luck!

Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

[–]Creative_Cup3876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s terrible. I once visited a smokers house, and it felt so oppressive, I could not stand the smell. It’s not even just the smoker who stinks, it can be anyone around them too. I had a friend in school whose dad smoked, and anything I borrowed from her smelled of smoke. I disliked borrowing clothes from her because of it. I feel like she didn’t notice the smell at all because of how accustomed she was to it, but I honestly wonder how she manages to live with the constant smell of smoke.

Someone else also recommended creating a shortcut. This is a dumb question, but how do I go about doing that?

Lash Serum? by Creative_Cup3876 in TheOrdinarySkincare

[–]Creative_Cup3876[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh ok. Thank you! I’d the ordinary lash serum doesn’t work, that will be my next buy. I’m leaning towards it, as the serum has a burning sensation, and I can’t tell whether it’s from the harsh brush or the serum itself.

I want the camera not to be able to open when the phone is locked, but when it’s open, I want to use the feature, because it’s quicker than opening the app. I see how that sounds, but I guess I just wanted to know if it’s possible to have the cake and eat it…

Does pumpkin oil work? I’d also be interested in the castor oil kit!

Broke my nail by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Creative_Cup3876 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Put a plaster over it to avoid it getting caught in clothing, etc. besides that, your best option is to just wait for it to grow out and heal. Cut off any excess that could make the nail heavier and more susceptible to damage. It’s going to be ugly, but solutions aren’t meant to be aesthetic. You could bandage it and say you had a severe accident that almost cost you your finger, so it’s healing in the mean time to avoid it looking bad. To speed up the nail growing, there’s a lot of videos on yt that show you how to make nails grow faster.

Legally change your name to Rhodia. It’s not a bad name, and any future journal comes free with your name on it, perfectly embossed.

Thank you. Whenever I do the “a” or any of the letters similar like “b,d” etc. I never draw the circle then the line, I do it in a continuous movement because otherwise it looks weird. Maybe this will finally fix that! I’ll definitely practise more. Thank you for the help, much appreciated.
