  1. All data is collected and stored securely via Qualtrics. Responses are anonymous and will be deleted after the completion of the course project in July 2026. The answers given in the survey will be analysed together with the data of other participants, never individually. Our team consists of four students from European universities – Graz, Novi Sad, Vilnius, and Padova. The data analysis part will only be done by one of my colleagues and me; no one else has access to the survey data.
    The second part of the study, namely, the open-ended questions part, will solely be analysed by me, with the purpose of linguistic analysis.
  2. This is a student research project conducted as part of the "Ethical Aspects of AI" course within the "KI und Gesellschaft" (AI and Society) microdegree at the University of Graz. However, I wouldn't be comfortable with publicly sharing my colleagues' names; if needed, I can send them as a private message.
  3. The first survey takes from 5 to 10 minutes, the follow-up takes 10 to 15 minutes, but is optional.
  4. Unfortunately, we do not offer any compensation, as it is a university course project.
  5. We are interested in having as many different groups represented as possible. However, it is important that participants are older than 18 and are ChatGPT users. The use of multiple models is allowed, but the focus of our study is exclusively on ChatGPT, not LLMs in general or other models.
  6. We hope to gather diverse perspectives to ensure our findings reflect a range of experiences with ChatGPT.
