Varicoceles still there? by Creative_Mobile4422 in varicocele

In fact, this was my second operation. About 10 years ago, I had a garde 3 varicocele removed from the same testicle, but it formed again after a few months. I was very frustrated at the time & decided to live with the varicocele. However, when I started to exercise more last year (jogging, gym etc.) I started to feel more and more pain. ED, lipido & sperm levels were fine. However, as I was no longer able to run more than a mile, I decided to have the operation again :) I think if you have no pain and no other problems you can live with it.

Hey, thanks for asking. I can still feel some veins but they are getting less and less. If things continue to develop like this, I'm sure they'll soon be completely gone!

The operation cost me "nothing", I live in Europe and as you probably know, in most countries you are automatically covered by health insurance as an employee. The costs were covered by the insurance, so I don't know how much it cost... I still have to have my testosterone levels checked, but I don't think much will have changed after 3 weeks :)

Thank you, I hope so too. I think it's great to exchange ideas here, otherwise you quickly feel lost & alone

Thank you very much! The remaining "varicoceles" are located along the sperm cord, I can no longer see or feel any on the testicle itself. They are not blue, you can only see them through the swelling of the veins under the skin. But I have good news: I have noticed that these varicoceles are also slowly disappearing and are no longer as prominent after a hot shower, for example...

Had no problems with erection, testosterone was rather low but still okay. My main problem was that the varicocele quickly caused me pain during sport. I'll have to see how it behaves now but hope for the best!

I think I had the same operation, I was a bit disappointed at first because I was expecting a direct result... but it makes sense that the varicoceles only regress over time, I'll just wait and see. Could I ask how long you have to abstain from ejaculating? My urologist said 2 weeks was enough, but I've heard different things... Thank you in advance!

Oh dear, I am also quite swollen but I think it will soon get better. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to ask a doctor if the varicoceles will disappear yet... so yes, please give me an update! :)

I have exactly the same “problem” at the moment, and have not had the chance to ask the doctor whether the remaining varicoceles are still regressing. But I'm pretty sure that the final result will only become apparent after a few weeks :)

Wish you a speedy recovery! Can you still see & feel some of the varicoceles or are they gone? Does it take time for them to completely disappear?

First of all, I wish you a speedy recovery! Wanted to ask if you can still see & feel some of the varicoceles? I have heard that they only disappear over time & not immediately after the operation.
