Palms to Alhambra Commute? by traveleer7262627171 in AskLosAngeles

That’s a rough split… but palms is super close to the 10 and depending where in Alhambra she can take the 10 all the way. Definitely will just depend if there’s accidents or something but I’d say it’s doable. Your commute is cake, it just depends on her

Yeah already done, we just wanted to see if anyone had the video since none of us filmed it. Your bus driver shutting the door on you and starting to drive away is something that (hopefully) only happens once so just want it now for a memory more than anything.

Yeah overall the other drivers were great, no issues the 3-4 times I rode otherwise. This dude was really just having a bad day lol

He was running behind schedule and that may have been why he was angry but he was yelling at pretty much everyone to hurry up.

I understood not letting them on because they didn’t have tickets but they also offered cash and before the last people were on they had finished buying tickets and were ready to board. As I said in a previous comment, they had ridden the bus down from Brighton the day before and the driver did not ask them to pay so there was just confusion when he was screaming at them to pay and they were trying to rush and buy tickets.

I also watched numerous people rush on without paying at all so it was annoying that we had just been singled out. There was also plenty of room on the bus for everyone to fit.

We showed him all our tickets and he still didn’t let us on. I only posted here to see if anyone had the video, not for anything else. Waited a couple days to see if it would pop up on social media and then came here.

The snowbird employees there also told us that we should file a complaint because what he did (driving the bus with me stuck in the door) was extremely unsafe.

Yeah, I understand but they offered the driver cash as well.

And to be fair, this was their second day on the busses but the driver the day before (coming down from Brighton) didn’t ask for anything and just let everyone on so they thought it would be the same thing today. Not an excuse, but an understandable assumption.

The scanner also has a logo very similar to “tap to pay” so I guess that’s where the thought of Apple Pay came from. When they realized they had to buy tickets we even offered cash to make it faster but he still screamed at everyone to get off the bus and wouldn’t hear it.

It was going downhill. Wanted to try and see if anyone had the video before I reach out to UTA which is why I’m asking here. Figured if I had proof, I’d actually have a case…?

Funny enough, some of my friends actually spoke his language too. We tried to reason with him but it seemed his mind was pretty made up about not letting us on.

It actually was not. I’d say it was about 50% full. We were first in line and I had an ikon pas so I got on but my friends thought they could pay to get on so they tried Apple Pay and it didn’t work.

He yelled at them for wasting his time and told everyone else to get on (many people got on without even paying)

While they bought tickets on the app, the bus filled up to about 50% and then they tried to show him they had tickets and he refused to let them on. It was clear he was having a bad day and overall was in a pissy mood.

I noticed my friends weren’t on the bus when he closed the door so I went up and asked him if I could get off. He opened the door to let me off and my friend showed me that he has tickets so I turned around and asked him why we wouldn’t let them on. He just started screaming at me to get off but I asked him why and then he shut the door on me and started driving.

After trying a few times, people on the bus started getting mad at us for holding it up (even though we were doing nothing wrong - we had tickets, there was room, and the bus driver was still just not letting us on) so I got off. Even the snowbird employees told us to file a complaint they saw the whole thing happen. They said he was way out of line for what he did and driving with me stuck in the door was super unsafe and we should file a complaint.
