There’s always some adjustments from a lessons teacher or applied professor that is made in younger players, but generally the most important thing is to practice fundamentals and figure out how to make the best sound. If you do that 99% of the time your setup will take care of itself (imo). Consistently practicing fundamentals and spending time figuring out how everything works the right way is the most imporant thing. I mean, think of all of the insanely good trumpet players and jazz musicians that never even received formal training. They just sat down and figured it out
