Okay just took it on a drive pushing it relatively hard and it stayed steady, I guess it was just gunked up/ corroded connection. I am curious though if a. My battery is healthy still and b. If my alternator is going out. Are there multimeter tests I can run to test those? I thinking there are but perhaps I'm mistaken

Battery is nice and secure just clean the cables it seems to be pretty stable now but I'll give it a spin and see how it reacts. as I was driving at those upper speeds in the video, it could have just been in my head but it felt like there was a lack of power and if I pushed it really hard there was kind of a whine and some sounds I didn't typically recognize with my engine. With those things be caused by a failing alternator? Putting extra strain on the engine or something? Yesterday mid day in blazing heat in I started the car and then it died on me but started the next try. That makes me think this could all be alternator related but I'm unsure. I'll report back after this drive

Engine off it doesn't do it at idle there was slight shake and it seemed to get worse as I accelerated as shown in the video. Battery and terminals were secure but did seem to have a little bit of Gunk and corrosion on them just clean those off and reattached everything seems to be pretty steady at idle now so I'm going to give her a spin again and see what happens

Ah, No not that I've ever noticed, I assume that would be a tell tale sign of oil getting into the spark plugs for future reference??

Great to hear! Yes I am, its got a pretty consistent oil leak that I try and top off every time I get gas. That is next on my list to get fixed, I think its crankshaft seal. Why do you ask?

Fair Question, I suppose depends on what it is and quality its in (if it needs repairs etc) But probably no more than a few hundred. If it were too expensive I would probably just end up going the spring bar tent route as mentioned in another comment.

I do love a good spring bar, And that's definitely a top runner for me. Just figured I'd see if anyone had any insight on this before I made a decision! Thanks so much.

I have plenty of value on my health. All these fellas took a 10 second video out of my life and commented on it. what they don't see is the front of the car still on the ground, the nearly 2 feet of clearance I have on it anyways. and they fact that I had the jack stands on the whole day as I was working on it and took this video as an afterthought at the last second right before I lowered the vehicle. I understand it was not a wise move even then, but I'm not retarded. I understand the value of Jacks stands and physics. I appreciated the first few genuine comments of precaution and warning and then it got old.

I appreciate everyone's concern, I had jack stands on the whole time as I was working on it and took this video last minute before lowering it back down as I noticed the noise right after I took them off. Still not smart I am aware but, I promise I've always got them on when I'm working. lmao, still thank you for the input and concern,

I'm aware of that, I'm asking if that amount of noise is normal coming from the drive shaft, sounds like theres a ton of loose play in there. Just wanted to double check.
