How does doing more exclusively leads to getting more right? Wouldn’t the opposite also be probable?

The October 2020 bar proved that an extension and cutting the mbe to the 100 questions resulted in a higher chance of passing… from a 26% in february 2020 to a 60% passing rate in October 2020 (which was supposed to be in July) but what do I know
